Default Texas Gov. Abbott issues order banning Covid vaccination mandates in rebuke of Biden

I like Abbott's stance on this. I agree like him that the vaccine is primarily safe and effective.

    BUT it should remain voluntary.

Over and over with the mandates and moving the goal posts. And the more they hand out mandates and the more they misinform and lie, the more people will fight back.

Abbott has also resisted mask mandates and requiring proof of vaccination in the state

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order on Monday prohibiting any entity, including private businesses, from imposing Covid-19 vaccination requirements on employees or customers.

"The COVID-19 vaccine is safe, effective, and our best defense against the virus, but should remain voluntary and never forced," said Abbott said in a statement.

Abbott, a Republican, said in his order that it was prompted by the Biden administration’s vaccine federal mandate, which the governor called federal overreach.

President Joe Biden announced a mandate last month requiring companies with 100 or more employees to ensure that their workforces are vaccinated or regularly tested. The Labor Department has yet to release details of the emergency rule, but Biden last week called on companies to act now and not to wait for the requirement to go into effect.

Much like what happened with Former Vice President Biden was...vice president, they will skirt around Texas law by using the power of the IRS to obliterate any company standing up for liberty. They started stealing our income; now they are stealing our right to generate income. They need a swift and sound removal from authority. We do not consent to be governed as slaves.

If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

That headline is typical DEMedia narrative shaping.

Yes, Abbott's order is a rebuke, it is a rebuke of a capricious and authoritarian federal government and a defense of liberty and individual sovereignty.

You can not truly call yourself “peaceful” unless you are capable of great violence.
If you are incapable of violence, you are not peaceful, you are just harmless.

This is one time I take no issue with a header. There's nothing misleading about it. If the puppethead tyrant in DC hadn't issued a mandate, Abbott would have no need to issue the EO. It IS a direct response.

If Abbott is going to take on the Federal government the way he has been, I wish he'd just ignore any of Biden's restrictions on energy.

Default Biden Admin. Targets Gov. Abbott, Gov. DeSantis For Banning Forced COVID-19 Vaccinati

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 2:29 PM PT – Tuesday, October 12, 2021

The Biden administration has targeted the governors of Florida and Texas for banning questionable vaccine mandates in their states. On Tuesday, Joe Biden’s officials accused Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) and Gov. Greg Abbott (R-Texas) of “putting politics ahead of public health” by outlawing vaccine mandates.
The White House also attempted to stir up COVID-19 fears to justify its mandates. Earlier on Monday, Abbott signed an executive order banning forced vaccinations by any entity in Texas, while DeSantis made a similar statement on Tuesday.

Both Abbott and DeSantis have said Biden’s mandates amounted to an unlawful federal overreach. The dispute has been expected to go to courts for a lengthy legal battle up ahead.

Going to court? How does THAT work? A Presidential decree is not law. Is there a "you didn't do what I said" law I don't know about?
