    I respected Powell as well.

    Faults - yes. But let's not forget the lots of good from him IMO.

    35 years as a soldier to General... secretary of state, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, National security advisor

    Was he perfect in every role? Nope. But he still gave a lot to America IMO. Similar to Condi of whom he worked often with.

    I agree. I like the Powell doctrine, 'if necessary to make war, go in with overwhelming force. Have a plan to get out.'
