Unlike our government, looks like Australia is facing reality.

China is “serious” about dominance of the Western Pacific, according to Liberal Senator Jim Molan.
“And we happen to live there,” Mr Molan told Sky News host Rowan Dean.
Mr Molan said China was serious about “two things” – “retaining and regaining Taiwan and being the dominant power in the Western Pacific”.
“This is a zero-sum game, the only way it can do that, is by throwing the US out of the Western Pacific.”
“The Americans might get booted out, and their military force in our part of the world get destroyed, and so they lose all power and influence in the Western Pacific.
“We can’t just go home and reconstitute; this is our territory.”
