It's a good article. Nothing new, really. I think we've covered everything he covered and more. As he states: it's wait and see.

Not sure if this is in the article in this thread or another, but it si now, and it fits here as much as anywhere.

Trump's name got mentioned in the vein of no one thinks he would be doing any good in this. Been reminding people of that off and on since he was first poking that little fat N Korean with a stick.

At this point? I don't want Trump as CinC during a conflict. I'm not okay with his judgement like that. And you know he'd be right in the middle of this.

"Long War Journal" was another blog I read near daily post 9/11. His take is quite different:

Those with more strategic mindset may find this of interest. Sure would be nice if you could break it down for my less detailed thinking:

It says Russia's continuing it's advances in an attempt to envelope (surround) Kyiv. Kherson, Maripoul and Kharkiv are secondary targets Russia is trying to pound into submission. Says Russia is purposefully targeting civilians and infrastructure to create a humanitarian crisis.

Russian supplies are starting to catch up but command and control is splintered (uncoordinated), adding to delays.

"It further states" there is nothing in this long, drawn out, redundant wall of words to sound important assessment you didn't already know

Latest blurb I saw today is Putin states "everything is going to plan". REALLY? THIS is a plan? Execution so far looks like Biden has a hand in it

Interesting. Based on some of that I would like to ask; Is he the last of his kind? The only one who really wants to reconstitute the old USSR? The common people don't care and the oligarchs only care about money and buying American sports teams? putin is reportedly worth $200 billion but when you've got more than you can spend, and can't really tell anyone, maybe military takeovers are more interesting than corporate takeovers.

Simplistic viewpoint (involving simpletons)? Ever seen Grumpy Old Men?

We have one senile old coot trying to recreate the Russian Dynasty and an even more senile old coot the World is looking to for leadership when he can't even tie his damned shoes. Both should be locked in a room with a barrel, checkerboard, box of checkers and two chairs. That way they can't hurt anyone but each other instead of tearing apart the World.
