Real ID / Passport

Just a reminder to folks, if you plan to travel not only out of the country, but even fly outside your own state - then starting next year sometime you will need either a passport (even for domestic) or a Real ID drivers license.

The Republicans are just as much to blame for Real ID as the Democrats, perhaps more so since it was Bush who signed into law the bills that gave us DHS and Real ID...

What I get from it something like,

oh well, the trains to the camps were suppose to be here last year sometime, i'm not sure why it's taking them so long, ho hum, this is old news.

in other places you're simply in denial but too often you make noises as if it's "inevitable" or the loss of freedom's and the fall into debauchery are no big deal... or good for big biz.

Clearly I can't stop you from reading into my posts what you prefer to read into my posts. I was merely stating a fact that I believe this was supposed to be rolled out in 2016??? but keeps getting pushed back. I wasn't aware that this particular bit of government encroachment fell under the "mark of the beast" type of outrage I should be railing against.

But overall I don't recall this being a loss of freedom and debauchery. More of something along the line of unfunded mandates. But either way I don't see this as akin to the Nazi propaganda presented to the Jews in the '30s that promised nice neighborhoods and healthcare to future victims. If you do then I'd be happy to read a post or two.
