Default Uvalde Police Chief Tells New Story on School Shooting

See, this is my main problem with this entire shooting. The truth. WHY has the story change so many dang times? Many things from quite a few people have changed over and over.

Uvalde Police Chief Tells New Story on School Shooting

Uvalde Police Chief Pete Arredondo is trying to spin his pathetic, incompetent reponse to the active shooter who invaded an Uvalde elementary school and methodically murdered children and teachers. Here is his explanation:

Only a locked classroom door stood between Pete Arredondo and a chance to bring down the gunman. It was sturdily built with a steel jamb, impossible to kick in.

He wanted a key. One goddamn key and he could get through that door to the kids and the teachers. The killer was armed with an AR-15. Arredondo thought he could shoot the gunman himself or at least draw fire while another officer shot back. Without body armor, he assumed he might die.

“The only thing that was important to me at this time was to save as many teachers and children as possible,” Arredondo said.

The chief of police for the Uvalde school district spent more than an hour in the hallway of Robb Elementary School. He called for tactical gear, a sniper and keys to get inside, holding back from the doors for 40 minutes to avoid provoking sprays of gunfire. When keys arrived, he tried dozens of them, but one by one they failed to work.

When the teacher heard the gunshots why didn't they lock the door before gunman got in. Teachers are also in the "blame" sphere. Gunman stood outside and fired off shots before going inside. It was a total FUBAR.

Multiple police officers stood in a hallway at Robb Elementary School armed with rifles and at least one ballistic shield within nine minutes of a gunman arriving at the campus, according to documents reviewed by the American-Statesman.

We've updated this story to correct how quickly police arrived with rifles and a ballistic shield: 19 minutes after the shooter.

This is exactly the way the left wants it. It has fostered an environment of indecision on the part of decision-makers for fear of making the wrong decision. That fear saturates the right. They call it "critical thinking" . Meanwhile, this nutcase, HISPANIC 18 years old disappointed the left's agenda only by not being white. Otherwise, the whole scenario couldn't have gone better for them.

Other side of the coin: Cops go in and take down the shooter resulting on only one or two children being killed. The cops would be crucified by the left/MSM for the one or two children, not saving 20-something.

The left holds the right to a zero-defect mentality where the choices are lose/lose. While they threaten Supreme Court justices at their homes with the approval of the President and Speaker of the House in clear violation of Federal law.

Uvalde is a small-town, farm community, wide spot in the road halfway between San Antonio and Del Rio. No one, to include the police was mentally prepared for this.

They need to quit making excuses while the hunt for a scapegoat is on. There is plenty of blame to go around.
