    Default Israel

Sent to me by my Dad. I can't vouch for any/all of the facts within.

I am a firm believer though, that if someone goes to another persons home, or confronts another person with intent to rob or harm them - if and when they find out the other person is carrying or pointing a weapon back at them, or better if an Ar-15 - that it will extremely lessen the chances of that incident playing through.

Can't word this the best - but if someone is carrying an Ar-15 out in the open somehow, it will severely lessen the chance they get robbed/mugged and/or murdered.

Following this email - s about a real place in America that we all know about, that also has mandatory ownership.

    Israel

Never had a school shooting. No police brutality charges filed, either. If you act stupid, they guarantee it will be a life changing experience for you. Sounds fair to me.

School girls going to their military training class. Notice the Israel flag in the background... this is Israel! Where Teachers and other citizenry carry AR-15’s.

Where it’s MANDATORY that young People Serve in the Military and they are armed 24/7. Where They Don’t over medicate. Where the Murder Rate for the whole country is a fraction of what Nashville Tennessee is. Where Parents teach respect and values instead of letting Disney and X-Box raise their Children. Where they Stand for their flag and would defend it with their lives.

WAKE UP AMERICA... WE DON’T HAVE A GUN PROBLEM. WE HAVE A SOCIETY PROBLEM!

    Kennesaw, Georgia

    Gun law

Kennesaw is noted for its unique firearms legislation, passed in response to a handgun ban in Morton Grove, Illinois. In 1982 the city passed an ordinance [Sec 34-21]:[25]

    (a) In order to provide for the emergency management of the city, and further in order to provide for and protect the safety, security and general welfare of the city and its inhabitants, every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm, together with ammunition therefore. (b) Exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who suffer a physical or mental disability which would prohibit them from using such a firearm. Further exempt from the effect of this section are those heads of households who are paupers or who conscientiously oppose maintaining firearms as a result of beliefs or religious doctrine, or persons convicted of a felony.

    Crime statistics

In 2001, violent crime rates were about 60% below national and state rates. Property crime rates were from 46–56% below national and state rates. From 1999 to 2011, Kennesaw crime statistics reported that both property and violent crimes had decreased, though from 2003 to 2008 the trend in both violent and property crime rates slightly increased.[23] The increase in crime rate overall is attributed to the population growth rate of 37.41%. The population growth rate is much higher than the state average rate of 18.34% and is much higher than the national average rate of 9.71%

As one who lives near Kennesaw and has been to Isreal recently I can say a couple of things.

The Kennesaw of today is nothing like the Kennesay of 2001. More of a suburb of Atlanta, KSU has grown like crazy, and I can't imagine that the law is enforced by any means especially these days. It wouldn't shock me that crime was low 20 years ago and more similar to other suburban ATL cities regardless of this particular municipal code. That would be a better comparison.

Israel. Those don't look like schoolgirls but I wouldn't doubt that they're IDF. I saw many youngish folks in casual attire that looked exactly like that. There were some in the hotel we were in and I'm not sure if they're always there or if it was because of Flag Day that was going on in the Old City around that time. Everything certainly looked beefed up on that particular day. Some teargas and scuffles happening that we could see from the hote.

But quibbles aside I appreciate the sentiment.
