A new contract between Minneapolis Public Schools and the local teachers union mandates that white teachers must be fired first when any kind of staff downsizing is initiated.

“Starting with the Spring 2023 Budget Tie-Out Cycle, if excessing a teacher who is a member of a population underrepresented among licensed teachers in the site, the District shall excess the next least senior teacher, who is not a member of an underrepresented population,” the agreement, which was originally obtained by Alpha News, says. Minority teachers “may be exempted from district-wide layoff[s] outside seniority order,” and will also be given priority during reinstatement.

In addition, teachers at 15 “racially isolated schools…with the greatest concentration of poverty” will also be protected from layoffs.

“Past discrimination by the District disproportionately impacted the hiring of underrepresented teachers in the District, as compared to the relevant labor market and the community, and resulted in a lack of diversity of teachers,” the agreement adds. The agreement is meant to rectify past instances of discrimination through more and different discrimination...

It is and that is how the left/blacks especially justify it. We "owe" them.

I damned sure don't. Never owned a slave and never discriminated against anyone solely because of their race. Stupid people on the other hand? They'd have a case of discrimination against me that I readily will admit to.

I don't want to hear what happened to someone way back in the 1850s. This is now. Especially beginning in the 1980s, racial/ethnic/gender minorities have had more rights than I do.

A real person with a real brain capable of real thought would not justify bad behavior by someone else's bad behavior; especially, when "someone else" isn't even alive to punish.

Thing is, the Dem(on)s will dump white teachers as fast as they can while any lawsuits snails it way up to the Supreme Court. Irreparable damage already done, and they'll just say, "Whoops. Okay".
