Again, one must ask, 'Why the kids?' If it were kids at risk, i.e., cancer, etc., perhaps. Personally, not going to do it at least until there's more testing and results given regarding heart and stroke issues.

I decided the FDA was just another means of unconstitutional government control decades before 2018.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_a...Administration

This is a joke. I didn't even have to get past wikipedia for good picture of what the FDA is:

The FDA's primary focus is enforcement of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FD&C), but the agency also enforces other laws, notably Section 361 of the Public Health Service Act, as well as associated regulations. Much of this regulatory-enforcement work is not directly related to food or drugs, but involves such things as regulating lasers, cellular phones, and condoms, as well as control of disease in contexts varying from household pets to human sperm donated for use in assisted reproduction.
Kinda says it all right there. It enforces whatever the f- it wants to in regard to meddling in our personal lives and choices.

Without an FDA and FDA "guidelines", pharmaceutical companies have no monopoly on what is available to the people. More government, bureaucratic nightmare and control from a government that has gone into business for itself.

Sooooooooo let me get this straight. The FDA is inherently corrupt or it's a victim of bureaucratic "mission creep"? Especially in light of IP laws being one of the few laws actually in the Constitution.

    Yes, the FDA is corrupt.
And bureaucratic & legislative protectionism is not in the constitution.

Not sure who you are responding to, BUT...

The victimizers are the victims now? That's what I'm reading. When you dust all the fluff off of "mission creep", it looks and smells like overreach by yet another Federal, alphabet agency.

Not being a Gen-Zer, not sure what the acronym "IP" references in context with this post. Individual protection? If that is the case, the Constitution in no way resembles current government basically having a finger in our asses on any and every subject imaginable. If I could think of something where it doesn't and posted it, there'd be a government agency assigned to it by end of week.

If the FDA was "victim", as you state, then you are stating without words it is comprised of drones, mindlessly carrying out orders "from above". Don't know why and don't care. Widget A into Slot B all day and clock out. While I am aware those people exist in numbers too many, and do in fact drone mindlessly along through life, the result is the same.

FYI, my POV does not come from the "big pharma" argument; although, I cannot say it's not there. Where the FDA ran afoul with me was nutrition and sports medicine. Finger in everything and not one f-ing clue what they're doing. As baseless, random and arbitrary as its rules are, one can only assume they are either dumber than dirt or corrupt.

Intellectual Property. Gen Z would think Internet Protocol.

Point noted. We're victims of the FDA's mission creep which is based on onerous government regulations, SCOTUS Chevron deference, governmental overreach to protect us from bad drugs and food, etc. We have met the enemy and they is us.

I think we share a similar opinion on the FDA.

your Constitutional point is noted but is irrelevant, because it's not the problem.

And my point is not "opinion" it's fact.
the FDA is corrupt. the revolving door is a FACT, the bureaucratic & legislative protectionism is a FACT.
To the point of even making it a crime to promote some INFORMATION about the health benefits of various fruits, vegetables & vitamins.
Regularly creating regulatory stumbling blocks for small businesses.

Also legislatively getting COMPLETE legal IMMUNITY from lawsuits when their products harm or kill their customers. not "opinion". But Maybe you can show me IMMUNITY from lawsuits in the constitution?

It is relevant. It is your opinion. Article III, Section 2 I believe.

In all Cases affecting Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, and those in which a State shall be Party, the supreme Court shall have original Jurisdiction. In all the other Cases before mentioned, the supreme Court shall have appellate Jurisdiction, both as to Law and Fact, with such Exceptions, and under such Regulations as the Congress shall make.
I don't disagree that the FDA has it in its power to suck.
