A quick story: My wife is a member of a mom's facebook group for a local city(I am not a member and this was relayed to me). One mom who I know who is the adopted mom of a "them" was bemoaning that her daughter had now started to self diagnose for some mental health thing (the exact escapes me at the moment) on the basis of what she was seeing on the current social media, friends, etc... My mind was completely boggled that she did not see a connection from the self diagnosis of being a "them" to the self diagnosis of "___mental health issue___." People see what they want and don't see what they don't want.

Then you have to ask whose fault are the schools? Ours. I think it was you, and me at times, pushing the issue of what public education was doing every so often. Silver lining to COVID lockdown: The government locking us down forced parents to pay attention to what public education was teaching our children and started flipping out. Rightly so, even if the FBI has them on lists along with Catholics and white people, and Republicans, etc.

Cruising right along trusting the government to train our children until the cruise control came off and we had to drive. WE are responsible for current government and its policies through complacency.

I can recall (as most of us can) when you'd have to leave town ahead of the lynch mob for trying to do any of this crap to children.

There's an underlying evil ruling the day, IMO.

The whole social media thing doesn't help matters. Schools are partly to blame IMO, a large part. Anyone demanding we do this or that for such kids are to blame. Folks leading kids and/or giving them hormonal drugs behind their parents backs...

This is something that should be SOLELY in the family and from home. Parents should ALWAYS be involved if the child is not of age. And IMO no one should ever get any drugs or changes until they are adults. And even then - with certified doctors approval.

Love the mentality. While pointing a finger, most of us did it too. You "old people" (our 20s-30s years old parents) don't know shit and you're uncool. I on the other hand am an individual, unlike y'all, and I prove it by doing and dressing just like everyone else my age

I've pretty much pinpointed the point of uncoolness comes with the declaration "It's a boy/girl" by the doctor. Suddenly everything is a threat to your child and how can I keep society away from her.
