I don't see anyone arguing differently. It may well have mitigated severity in some, much like what you are saying on ivermectin. Personally, I think that the government/pharma should be searching for ways to reestablish some trust from the people on vaccines in general. This has done more to undermine that trust than even Lancet lies regarding autism.

I do think that the 'overselling' of 'cures', 'treatments' were made by many. None are taking anything back, in fact they all keep claiming their favorites work and it's all a smear campaign.

You ARE right, none of these products have been scientifically proven to cure or even mitigate symptoms.

Then the whole 'social distancing.' While there could be some good in keeping folks further from oneself, there were limits, especially in schools to what was safe and practical.

The facts of those groups 'at risk' vs the mandates on vaccinations was on its face non-science; still is.

All of that doesn't make facts out of what the onset doubters were saying-with medical backgrounds or not. If instead of Covid vaccines their pet medicines were being touted, they likely would have had problems with them from the onset.

To me, whatever one chose to do confronting the problem was ok. There could certainly be ramifications to one's choices, whatever they were. For job, family, or health reasons. I still would defend personal choices. If everyone could be that respectful, it would be a step towards civility. We don't have to agree with every choice, but respect seems due.
Like everything else, I am so over this. Time to move on. Apparently not. The damage is done. Best I can tell, the biggest damage done has been to our children, their socialization and education. More than a bit suspicious that last purposefully so. Topic for another thread, but the judge ruling the Biden mafia communicating with Big Tech pretty much covered my feelings in his rulings. Three years later

The rest of this go-nowhere pointlessness but for some trying to collect a check off the government is a distraction from real, NOW issues. I'm all about using history as a tool to learn from, but as a Nation and people we do not. It's used solely for pointing fingers and making a buck, and/or people who would destroy the World to be "right". Very Trumpian, that last.

I made the decisions I made at the time, on the ground, in real time. I do recall some posting and even explaining their decisions, even though not required. I do not recall anyone on this board telling anyone to go get a vaccine. I DO recall some urging others to not get the vaccine, not wear masks, etc.

Time, effort and money would be better spent trying to get people's heads out of the fog created by the pandemic and exacerbated by government. I'd be all for some criminal charges against certain governments/US government agencies with some real World, painful punishment that would deter these insulated, fascist bureaucrats from thinking it was worth it. Otherwise, we're just waiting for next time.

I believe the 'race' for vaccine for Covid was historical, mistakes were made. For the same reason a cold vaccine has not been found, the best that could happen was mitigation-IF it had been 'sold' as that, things for most people would have been fine. But it wasn't. Then Wuhan, Fauci, mandatory vaccinations and loss of jobs. Lockdowns and mandatory vaccinations in schools, in spite of real science reports of negative risks v possible benefits.

Scientific method has been thrown out the window, BUT not just from pharma and government. Also the reactionary forces. It's become a new religion.

It's not as easy as saying no. It is expected institutionally, and if you don't go with the program, you get put on one of those "lists". If the child fails because you don't play their game, the system comes after you, up to an including taking your children and/or criminal charges. If you work within any part of the government system, there is also the threat of job loss.

Just another one of the many cases around the world.

    SOUTH AFRICA

    Senator Gerard Rennick
    @SenatorRennick
The South Australian Employment Tribunal has ruled that employers are responsible for compensating employees who acquire vaccine injuries from work directives. This is a significant precedent as employers are now going to think twice about forcing people to get a vaccine if they have to fork out for potentially significant medical costs if the employee then incurs a vaccine injury.

This is only one case and I suspect it will be appealed. I hope the decision is upheld because it will then open up the option of employers suing governments who mandate vaccines or pharmaceutical companies for unsafe or ineffective vaccines.

    ........

Here in the U.S. Law Firms are starting to have national conferences where the lead law firms at the conference are talking about the covid vaccine cases they are winning and how it these cases will exploded in number. That they have more cases than they can handle & predicting that the number of WINNABLE lawsuits will be as large as Asbestos and Tobacco combined.

I could rant for hours at least Best I can tell, they give these people a book of "if the child does this, you do that", no deviating from the one size fits all program. Only one of the people we have dealt with actually tries to get one on one with the individual and treat her as such.

All this education and "expertise" and the power to take your children if you don't abide by their rules, and know nothing of people. We finally had to go through the military to get any sort of help. Still the "therapy" and all that crap, but it's better than the public school system that refuses to fail her then says they don't see a problem because she isn't failing Had to put her in private school.

I'm sorry. Some private schools are really better than the public, even for special needs. It depends on the teachers.

I agree. She goes to school now where Ashley goes to church. The teacher she has now goes out of her way to help Annabelle. She deals with her behavior but in the end still demands results and doesn't accept excuses.

Jacob's going there next year. That's going to be a problem in and of itself. His mom is currently his Special Ed teacher and he's always been at her school. She won't be a couple doors down when he's at the church.

    "Safe & Effective"

The second Covid Litigation Conference in Las Vegas is a continuation of the successful first Covid Litigation Conference held in Atlanta in March of 2023. The CLC has become the premier legal event where experienced lawyers in the Covid space come together to share, educate, and connect with attorneys new to this field. Through keynotes, panels, and networking events, CLC is building a legion of attorneys who are ready and able to step into a field of litigation that Rolling Stone magazine acknowledges will be “bigger than Asbestos and Big Tobacco combined.”
