Last-minute Biden proposal stokes division within GOP full article

Trump's pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., opposes anti-obesity medication, saying that obesity and diabetes could be cured "overnight" with "three good meals a day," ...
That is an ignorant, absolutely incorrect statement. There are plenty of people with underlying, chronic diseases that cannot lose weight regardless diet gymnastics. Some of those diseases like diabetes and low blood sugar, not to mention heredity can easily counter even the strictest of diets.

That being said, I am very skeptical of the drug (Ozempic). Otherwise healthy people that are just lazy and eat disgusting crap are using chemicals to trick their minds into thinking they are healthy. After all we all know if one looks good one is healthy

To each is own. Not for me. Ozempic Side Effects: Common, Severe, Long Term

I'm pretty much of the opinion that if people want to put all sorts of things into their bodies, as long as legal, go for it.

Imo not a good thing, but you be you. Darwinism is with us. Now folks that truly have a medical reason that makes it keeps them obese, that's not a willy nilly/vanity or lazy option. Then it's lifesaving.

Otherwise, imo, move more, eat less.

    sanctuary states/cities/counties.
Welfare for women with children, no fathers. (You get single mothers, no marriages). Keep low lid on how much one can make, before welfare/food stamps cut off, then be shocked that folks quit working.

This topic can expand from sprinkling to a hurricane in a hurry I'm not for government paying for it. I AM for those extortionists that call themselves insurance companies covering it for medical necessity. Lazy people can buy some running shoes and a healthy cookbook.

I would think medical necessity would always be a benchmark of them covering something. Of course what is medically necessary is always expanding because people whine and complain.

Don't forget the scam artist looking to defraud for a free ride. That such people exist was a shock after I entered the civilian World.

But, there's a whole industry of people out there that do nothing but nitpick and deny claims. Regardless the weak and scam artists, it certainly doesn't help those when they actually need the help. It's infuriating when you figure out what's been paid in for years and years and what they don't cover.

One thing for sure. The only reason my dental insurance isn't missing one customer is I was advised by the dentist not to get rid of them in the midst of having extensive work done. But they need to start counting their days
