Default Jack Smith resigns from Justice Department

Good. He's too politically biased to hold a position in any department called justice. Thing is, I think he could have nailed Trump had he not been trying so hard to burn him to a cinder.

I think that while Trump refused to accept the results, the law breaking was left to lawyers and minions. IMO, he certainly encouraged the crowds of 1/6, but in no way could it be proven that the encouragement was to lawbreaking.

Wasn't part of his deal the classified material? That's what I was thinking of. His lawsuits are/were many and overlap. Minus all the smoke and mirrors and pushing the assumption that accountability by law distinguishes between politicians and we mere mortals, a good military prosecutor could have taken the lot of them down on the classified material.

Just my opinion that Smith was dragging it out trying so had for overkill, the only thing he killed was his pre-election timeline.

We'll never know all, but compared to Biden and Hillary, Trump’s case seemed stronger to me.

Equivocally, Biden's would be weakest. Hillary's was a slam dunk. Classified server in an unsecure location. Bathroom linen closest does not qualify as a CMCC. I don't know that it gets worse than that.

Trump was in possession of classified material he had no right to be in possession of. Classified material belongs to the government, not the individual.

In my world there was no equivocating. The slightest offense is punishable by law under the UCMJ and the US Code. Punishment decided by the level of threat created by (possible)disclosure. I guess I take it personally because had I committed any of their violations I would have been crucified. There is still stuff I am not clear to discuss, to my knowledge and when in doubt, lose lips sink ships. I know nothing

Point is, at least in writing, the same laws that applied to me apply to them. The fact that they are selectively enforced based on position and politics pisses me off.

Should have just moved forward on that, quickly and with expedience; I think Special Prosecutor trying to bring every action against him was a tactical error. The Dems will probably not ever acknowledge how much that fed into his persecution complex.

I agree what's good for you is good for them. Unfortunately Hillary already proved that untrue. I disagree with Biden, least secur of all. Stuff found in multiple locations within and without.

I didn't mean least secure with Biden. I was more thinking amount. I really have no idea what any of the documents contained nor level of classification. Quite correct his were least secure.

Default Jack Smith denounces Trump's conduct, calls his accusations 'laughable'

I don't agree with Smith painting himself the selfless martyr following only the letter of the law. As stated above, had he not been so politically Hell bent on destroying Trump and each and every turn, he probably could have gotten a conviction on the classified material alone.

I don't think he's all wrong though. He just couldn't get out of his own way.
