I'm thinking something more like this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ACOUSTIC-SIGNATU...QQcmdZViewItem

Honestly manu, I think I'm going to ride the popular band wagon and get a middle of the road Technics, check out some new cuts on new vinyl, and if I like it, then think about something higher end.

Actually I'm thinking of something more like this...

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=005

... and if I like it, then think of something higher end. Because I'm also going all high definition, movies and music. I haven't heard high definition music yet. I want to compare, because I have a sneaking suspicion not much of anything is going to be any better than that, and then I'll have to sell the tape deck and turn table anyway.

I would go talk to Planet DJ in Reno. They are experts on anything having to do with turntables. Their website is www.planetdj.com

Actually, high end audiofile grade turn tables are nothing like what a DJ would use. Not even close.

They don't just sell DJ Equipment, they also sell high end home audio and video systems and high end kareoke and VCD decks that plug into your home audio and video systems. If you like Kareoke they have an awesome deck that does both Kareoke and VCD's. It is no bigger then a component CD or DVD player that plugs into a home surround sound system.

I've been to the store already, and it's all DJ junk. There's not a stitch of high end home audio in the joint.
