I don't cook but can't wait for what my mom is planning to whipe up. Of course the usual turkey, stuffing, a sweet potato dish. Then scallop potatos, pies (pumpkin my favorite), lots and lots of side dishes and sweets I can't remember all the names.
Since I have such fantastic Casino/Hotels just a couples miles from me, like the Silver Legacy, The Eldorado, The Peppermill or the Grand Sierra Resort, just to name a few, each one of them will put on a Thanksgiving buffet fit for the Gods. I'll probably hit one of those. Eat until I can't take another bite, and then waddle out of there with nothing to clean up.
That's what you do when your nearest family is 900 miles away.

No turkey. It is just us. So I will make her special hamburgers over the grill. And corn on the cob.
Hey, pretty American if you ask me.
Sounds good to me.
I just heard on a local TV station, that the Peppermil is going to have ten different all you can eat buffets, all serving different things on Thanksgiving day. I like the Peppermil, so I'll probably go down there and eat at the buffet serving the most traditional food, then maybe hit the Black Jack table and let my meal settle...
