I'm Phil -- 40 something heterosexual white male, fairly self sufficient, great with my kids, wed 29 years to the same woman, and I firmly believe that ones actions have logical consequences. How much more out the box can you get nowadays? -- MSgt of Marines (ret)
Yep, read the first three posts. One of em actually has a disclaimer just in case the men in black were monitoring it y'know? The links of course are not written by me, instead they support the facts. The format is also explained in one of the first two posts I think.
I was hoping it would foster more of a discussion, guess I was preaching to the choir. Over at USMB I posted it and really, really, really, ticked off someone from Maine. Even though I disallowed one of the facts because he disputed the interpretation of the link, there was sufficiet number of facts pointing to the opinon that it stood.
Check it out, I think it is in the archives.

Don't need to do that love...... (I don't think my post is allowed as it is over the two week time limit) I was just throwing a temper tantrum about having to actually sit down and work for the prize. But I love the thought.
And, I didn't notice a limit to nominations by one person either.
I mean if there is only one judge, shouldn't we really make him work for it with a lot of worthy stuff eh?
Happy Thanksgiving

another - not quite spikesmygod - but it's to the point, and right-on. Worthy of consideration, IMO:

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.
