Default Seattle mayor warns kids: Take these eco-light bulbs or Santa and the reindeer die

this is getting ridiculous..the letter and some audio at her site..

By Michelle Malkin • November 28, 2007 03:46 PM Via Orbusmax, KVI talk show host Kirby Wilbur in Seattle heard from a listener who attended Mayor Greg Nickels’ Christmas holiday tree-lighting ceremony. All religious references are discouraged by the local government–except if the religion is environmentalism. So Nickels used the event to preach the evils of global warming to the kids in attendance. He warned the children that if they don’t use energy-efficient light bulbs (Gore bulbs), Santa and the reindeer will perish amid melting icecaps. Here’s the clip recounting Nickel’s grinchy lecture:
    http://michellemalkin.com/2007/11/28...er-will-drown/

Leaning Straight Up points to Nickel’s “Letter to Santa“–an epistle of self-congratulation wrapped in eco-sanctimony:

Can’t Christmas be Christmas without Al Gore wannabes polluting the air and scaring the kids?

But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself."

I don't mean to ignore the story, Stephanie, but your avatar made me laugh out loud.

GOOD GOD the fact this imbecile is an elected official proves MOST of the voters in Seattle are F'ING IDIOTS!

Well, I don't know anything about Santa Claus, but I can do one better for scary propaganda:

Name one thing the government does better than the private sector and I'll show you something that requires the use of force to accomplish.

Don't you ever get tired of posting hysterical Malkin bullshit? If someone wants to read her trash, her web site is readily available.

Great way to deflect! Do you have ANY feelings of disgust for the Mayor of a MAJOR US CITY using the 'holiday tree lighting' as an excuse to evangelize HIS religion of "Climate Change"?

It's not just Malkin - one of seattle's own most-liberal/whatever/weird commentators is bringing it up:

SEATTLE - Maybe he thought he was being clever, or funny.

But I doubt if there was a "ha, ha, ha" to be had, and I'm sure nothing even close to a "ho, ho, ho."

Regardless, I'd like to ask Seattle Mayor Greg Nickels to stop feeding the reindeer and come on down.

Last week Hizzoner was speaking to a crowd gathered for the season that no politically correct person dare even mention.

    Christmas.

Hizzoner seized the holiday moment to announce "Operation Save Santa."

It was a stirring global warming speech, replete with concern about how the North Pole might be melting and wondering if Donder and Blitzen can swim.

I'm sure the little children who were there went home with thoughts of how to reduce their little carbon footprints dancing through their heads.

I think you don't like Malkin - or ANY WOMAN - who is better looking, or otherwise more-attractive than you.

    I always like this one:

Ugh. B*tch factor comes into play when I'm considering a woman's attractiveness. Malkin's factor definately puts her into negative territory.

Yeah - you're stupid for finding a pic like that and suggesting it's an accurate reflection of her.

(shrug). EVEN IF she looked like that, I bet that face, in that pic, is hotter than gabby.
