We used to get anywhere from $4-600 for our Dane puppies.

Personally I'd NEVER spend that kind of money on a dog, too many rescue animals out there looking for a home, and that's why we have stopped breeding ours. You can even find purebred rescue Danes if that's what you want.

Good for you! Too many puppy mills/backyard breeders and the like. Rescue groups are awesome.

Best dog I ever had was a mutt though. He was sooooo cool.
