Anyone else play this yet? It's still in open beta, so there's a few bugs being worked out, but this is a pretty awesome game! From the same people that created World of Tanks, and it follows the same pattern of trying to be historically accurate with regards to looks, performance and weapons buildouts.
Right now there are only 3 Nations you can play, USA, Japan and Russia... but more will be added.
There are 4 different classes of ships : Destroyer, Cruiser, Battleship and Aircraft Carrier, from WWI to about 1947.
Right now I'm focusing on the Aircraft Carrier line. The Carriers are vulnerable, so your main priority with them is to project power far away from them - a small Cruiser that gets within range will devastate your Carrier in short order, nevermind a Battleship that gets in range. You get squadrons of Fighters and Torpedo Bombers to direct to different areas. I scout with Fighters, and intercept enemy Torpedo Bombers to shoot them down before they can reach any of my team's ships - being hit by a torpedo is devastating.
Scouting with aircraft is important, because when they see an enemy ship, they radio back the positions and everyone on my team sees those ships on their map. It's kind of a cat-and-mouse scenario with being able to see those ships and still staying outside of their Anti-Aircraft range.
Here's a few screenshots I took yesterday... this first one is my Torpedo Planes lining up on an enemy Battleship :
