The Social Security administration announced the cost of living adjustment Friday, which is the biggest gain in six years.
The annual COLA has only averaged just above one percent in the past eight years.
With the increase recipients can expect an additional $25 a month for the average beneficiary or over $300 for the year.
It will benefit more than 70 million Americans, including disabled veterans and federal retirement systems which are expected to have the biggest increase.
it will go into effect in January.

Wow. 2%. $25 per month. With a proposed tax revision raising that bracket 2%. What a deal.
