Russian "Army Songs" with translation

[Polite Russian]

Hellow, guys.
A little history first, if you dont mind.

I registered here a long time ago, then I forgot about this forum. Now I just came home from Russian army (here in Russia every man must serve a year in army). And in the army I learned a lot of our Army songs. This is some sort of genre of music. They usually are not well played, not well sung. BUT. They was writed by a soldiers. As I know, army songs (as we know them) came from Afghanistan war. They show you what REALLY was in thoughts of russian soldiers. The difference between USA military and old Russian (Soviet) military is that in Russia you just Have to serve. And our politicians stopped selling convicts in conflicts not a long time ago. Now there are only contractors. But not a long time ago they ordered to go and, often, die a usual, 18 years old boys, who just yesterday have fun with their friends. And these boys, who often even didn't have any training, exept snow removal, cleaning etc, just came to battle.
Now there is no such a thing. But that songs left for us as a reminder of those guys, who died, about that wars (usually they sing about Afghanistan and Chechen wars).
My personal opinion is that army must consist of contractors.

Ok. To the songs. The first will be "I'll tie a kerchief"



It is one of my favorite.
Translation:

I'll tie a kerchief, I'll tie it up in a knot

But it is not true, that all bullets are "dumb" (old russian expression "bullet is dumb")

I will never forget Sashka Soloviev
He made no step back, he kept the defence.

All the ammo he left as a desert for the enemy
Where he take position, there he stay to lie forever.
I will never forget Spicin Sergey
How he whispered his last word, turning pale.

No, I am not afraid of Death, let her being afraid
Guys, maybe we are sleeping and war is a dream?

I think that there are a lot of dumb mistakes, and I'm sorry for that. I tried to translate for you to understand the main idea. :3
