Wear Your Courage As A Glove, Never Fear To Speak
Walk into sunshine with no fear upon your head
cast fear far away, slap back any dread.
Sample life, its mysteries and its golden gifts
sail your magic boat, sleep while it just drifts.
Watch soft-dancing moon while drinking glowing red wine
prowl seas of love, pleasantly you will dine.
Find rugged coast of Africa, sail round its Horn
sing praise and thank God the day you were born.
Ask you lover, hold tight and forever be true
tell your grandchildren what life was to you.
Climb that mountain, looking down from its snowy top
give thanks and swear truly to never stop.
Wear your courage as a glove, never fear to speak
know your rights, and admire those who are meek.
Walk righteous paths while sleeping soft in your night bed
love life's food, give thanks for your daily bread.
Hold anger back, know mercy is better instead
think Christmas joy, riding in horse drawn sled.
Live your life, live very long and peacefully well.
Wrap yourself in truth, know its best to tell.

Carpe Diem Definition
Latin expression that means 'seize the day.' Carpe diem poems have a theme of living for today.
A carpe diem poem is a type of poem that urges people to utilize their present time maximally as little is known about the future; many people are scared hence they do not succeed in life. The name of the poem originated in the “odes” which is a series of poems composed by a roman poet Horace.
Carpe diem has been majorly used to encourage and make the readers recognize the power and value of each moment however brief it is as long as it possibly exists. the main feature of this poem is the content and theme, the structure style and language takes the second place, therefore, the main focus is put on the message conveyed.
This poem has no standard way to write it, one can use any meter and rhyme scheme but the easiest way to come up with this kind of a poem is by using the free verse style as it is simple and much easier way because it has got no rules in writing it. The major elements of this poem are death, life and time.
Carpe Diem Poem Example
Leuconoe, don't ask--it's forbidden to know--
what end the gods will give me or you. Don't play with Babylonian
fortune-telling either. Better just deal with whatever comes your way.
Whether you'll see several more winters or whether the last one
Juppiter gives you is the one even now pelting the rocks on the shore with the waves
of the Tyrrhenian sea--be smart, drink your wine. Scale back your long hopes
to a short period. Even as we speak, envious time
is running away from us. Seize the day (Carpe diem), and trust as little as possible in the future.
