While I agree with teaching critical thinking, I also believe "the misuse of" critical thinking is a BIG part of the problem. The psycho left has made a business of twisting critical thinking into chasing rabbits down holes.

I'd lean towards the positive. I like the sheriff for the most part, at least his values. Like other AZ sheriff's the rules are quirky here at least to me, but IL!

In similar vein, I'm pretty partial right now towards Brave Books, they're swimming against the tide in publishing, something sorely needed. This coming from someone who while personally religious, isn't keen on religious based businesses, of which this is one. Just seems more necessary now in our society.

Wow ... since this interview happened Sheriff Lamb lost his son and grandchild in an auto accident. It wasn't even referenced.

I watch Friday's with Frank on YouTube which is a ride along with one of Lamb's deputies. It's like COPS but Frank is quite the personality. Sheriff Lamb has ridden along with him couple times.

I like Sheriff Lamb and his values.

I'd have to go back and re-read before purchasing the book, but I DO like the idea and I AM doing my best to keep my grandson as un-brainwashed as possible by exposing him to as many different ideals as I can.

I cam to the realization awhile back that what I read over the years was less important than being taught to read to learn.
