Blowing Blissfully In Immense Wheat Fields Of Fertile Minds

Upon the soft winds and the unenduring pallid breeze
with its ragged, hot breath a flaming torch of frozen tease
she that keeps her knives ready to cut in so very deep
and poisons the pleasurable hours that tender heart sleeps
her beauty its mirage displays a glitterings of gold
and her spoken words cried by spirit far too damn bold
she that has the magnificent beauty of a siren's face
stole ravenous beating heart, without any to replace
as I drown in deep waters polluted by her foul breath
I feel the lying whisper of a very painful death
as pale sky and bold seas both cast their powers far adrift
and in glory oft Heaven sent, dear blessings that uplift.

Blowing blissfully in immense wheat fields of fertile minds.
Are visions from word magicians, immeasurably stone blind!

The Story Of The Cruel And Dark Queen That Feeds On Souls

She eating the huge supper of the entire world's vast wealth
A dark goddess, splaying her straggly long hair with wilted roses
Pretty, brazen, wickedly heartless and damn to hell soulless
Even far more beautiful, glowingly fair than is Lamia
Artists and poets seek words to describe her deep darkness
Souls of artists, painters and reprobates toiling for her glee
Thousands enslaved in the mirage of her horrible essence
She that holds me locked into her enticing horrid imagery
As I toil like Hercules to break these impregnable chains
Such that morning holds no beauty, sky is devoid of its blue
These many months pass and pass, O' my spirit is wilting
I seek the moon at night but find only darken shadows
And absolutely no human pleasures ever do I know or feel
I that exist in this raging true hellish world of deep evil pains
Pray for dearest release that I may one day die a free man
And if gifted our God's sweet mercy, shall enter the Pearly Gates.

    Robert J. Lindley, Verse
    APRIL 11TH 1971

Note: Age 17, this is one of my early dark poems, no rhyming.

Wake Our Dawns As Beautiful Flightless Angels

    Small offerings I give you
Till your hands say a fine hello
The months wear thinly our hungers
I can almost hear your voice
Standing in the valley of abstinence
    Nights peering into blasting moonlight
Out of my deep loving heart
Flows great winds of sheer desire
I pause, living for your breath
You that make this world spin
With kisses born to forever gift
Soon you may live for my breath
We wake our dawns as beautiful flightless angels
Your tender heart fluttering for more
Of our nights on the lush green veranda
Our hugs that beg don't ever let go
You my darling, are the cool winds of love
And I the brave sentry of our journeys
I bring you little things anew
Until your tiny fingers learn to hold
Nothing can our true love defeat
For its truth that is Heavenly sent
And we are together deeply united
Our love, the mountain that shall never fall.

""To you darling I swear my love and everything.""

    a quatrain----

She had been a beauty beyond compare
Her blazing blue eyes, a rare gifted treat
We both gave romantic love, our fair share
Our nights spent, bedding upon satin sheets.

The Blackness And The Hard Labor Of The Housemaid

Store up the spasms of the low rims of busy suns
trudging work tills the upheaval of ragged soil
and what of shadow hours, sweat and hard toil
does indifferent soil its gasping unholy vomit spill
she folds the clothes and then she falls asleep.
Trudge the hours and crack the unwilling stones
as her shadow walks into bars of uneven ethereal mists
the dark red rouge smears in round about shy patterns
she wonders, where does brown dung of yesterday hide
She slaves as a worker, her tired muscles cramp
her mind drifts and then it accuses her of nothingness
today is for work, tomorrow the mice may play
her work is as ancient days a drifting into noon
she is bent as a scornful indifferent boothill
as she finally stops, yes stops, to dare to go to sleep.

    Robert J. Lindley, Verse
    June 2nd 1972

Of Its Hellish Temper All But The Devil Was Afraid
    (Part One)

Its dark powers were off the black wickedness charts
It ended thousands with its uncharted powers
Unworldly hungry, appetite for eating hearts
Risen from Satan's darken highest of towers.

Gallons and gallons blood, its every new meal
It seeks purely innocent to torture or drain
Anger, hatred emotions it happily feels
Ripping and shredding watching as spilled blood stains.

Yes, it a dark vampire so unlike any other
Ungodly and ravenous its coldhearted thirsts
But with a devil's mark, a werewolf his mother
Devil sworn he was the only, the last, the first.

With its four inch bloody claws and razor-sharp teeth
Born with Herculean strength, deep evil powers
Hades most evil powers rest so far beneath
Rose on hellish dawns took dear blood-soaked showers.

Always held hell-born thoughts within its hate-filled chest
Master of the Hell's thirteenth angel's poison seal
No black-demons dare his evil abilities test
Ever anxious for sweet new blood, that thrill kill.

Even the old gods dared not cross his dark path
Its hot, hellacious temper over a mile deep
No man nor other beast could defeat its black-wrath
Only away from shining angels did it ever creep!

She That With A Sweet-Laid Kiss Captured My Heart

She a true angel yet forever incomplete
Yes, forever and a thousand years in a day
But her heaven rests completely between her sheets
Her love was abundant, sweet in every way
But in love's resplendent and blaze-cast flaming throes
She felt the intense burns of love's amazing heat
In her hotter flames she gave thrills down to your toes
Her fiery sexcapades, nothing ever cold beat
Blessed was discovery of that cool hidden heart
Wooing you with that dearest billion-dollar smile
After all she was beauty and grace from the start
But sometimes she had to use her wily wiles.

She that with a sweet-laid kiss captured my heart.
June morn we both swore to Heaven we never part!

As Heaven Our Witness, Gave Its True Smile

Now here is love true, it is yours to hold
Its tenderness, as a rose petal's bloom
In its depths dare we both to be so bold
In savory nights, love in our bedroom
O' my lover, how I desire your kiss
And loving way that you hug me all night
Your beautiful smiles those I would so miss
I pray I never lose your bright cast light
Your blue eyes shine so this wonderful Spring
And each night as we both sing and slow dance
How you cried when I gave you that ring
We together swore again our romance.

As Heaven our witness, gave its true smile.
We swore to make our new lives both worthwhile.

United In The Depths Of Love's Ravenously Sweet Ardor

    I
    do not
    cry,
    this pain
soul deep stings the weeping heart
    burns so very
    intensely
    the memories
    the perished and
    heartfelt sweetness
    of Love's cherished
    truths,'
    the precious moments
    the cool breeze,
    the heights of adore
    the feverish touch
    of your lips
    our nights of lovemaking
    and sweetest morns
    of my waking
    with you,
    your tangled blonde
    hair and sultry lips
    and that dawn's
    ravishing smiles
    upon our dynamic
    new love, upon
    our dynamite kisses
    and our just being
    we two.....

    the truth
    the passion,
    heated waves
    in our ocean where passion
    burns so
    very brightly
    and its heart beats
for us, in tune with life
    singing
    to our two hearts
    wedded, asking
    only
    each other
    and begging
    for more
    days
    and nights
    welded
    together
    as
    united souls
    with
    appetites
    for love
    and hungry
    forever
    for each
    other
    darling
    you and I
    stand
    against the pains
    of this dark
    and bleak world
    with nights
    of sweet ardor
    and days
    of purest delights
    wedded
    hearts, spirits and
    sensual minds
    together,
    you and I......

To A Warrior's Creed, Valiant Death, Fate Oft Decrees

I follow the red line into hot, blazing Hell
with razor sharp long sword firm in my fighting hand
sending the devils down where their demon friends dwell
down, down deep, upon earth's surface I take my stand
I, raging fighter, with valiant blood in my veins
The Sun my only friend as its light clears my way
I leave behind me, nothing but huge bloody stains
I live as a warrior on a pittance of pay
A day's ration of bread and a bold flask of wine
few gold coins for every dark monster I slay
and the great favors of girlfriends, I daily dine
pride and Fate demands I die on some future day.

As life will be forfeit what care I of death's hand
no more than a bad-spit whisper the dying groan
To truth I am sworn, courageous is my dear stand
I am a valiant warrior, I dare fight alone.

My Lord, to an honorable death I so plead.
I lay here glad as away my life slowly bleeds.

O Little Earth, You Present Fruits Of Primal Seed

O little earth, wonder rests in thy glorious all
You allow mankind but what is he truly worth
Is he no more than an insect, so very small
Gazing at bright Heavens confused by mighty earth
To we, you giveth honey from thy heaving breasts
And the purest sweetness of your clearwater to drink
Bounty of night's black darkness for to sleep and rest
And wonders of our human minds for us to think.

O little earth, you present fruits of primal seed
Have you jewels hid, waiting for our greedy hands
Do you hold even more to harvest for our needs
And in reality, blessings even more in your lands!

O little earth dare we from your take all and even more.
For our ravenous greed, we desire even bigger score!

May wonderful colors and beautiful dreams be your take
I pray rhyming rhapsody sings to your heart's deep content

Prayer Said, The Beast Knew Not How Quickly It Was To Die

    I
    rose and
    cut the
    frozen
    aches
    with
    mental
    pains
    sun
    sent hard
    blasting copper
    rays that
    invaded
    through my
    stone-cast
    burnished
    skin
    into weeping bones
    heart stabbed
    brain

    nobody
    saw
    my unfiltered
    tears,
    splashing
    with an angry
    face
    yet
    there it
    stood
    murky
    brooding
    long fangs
    dripping
    and wicked
    smile
    bigger
    that ass-end
    of a
    Northbound
    mule
    waiting, waiting
    and waiting
    but
    a drip
    a smidgeon
    of smarts
    told
    me
    its
    weak underbelly
    would be
    where to
    stab it
    but
    first
    must be said.
    a prayer,
    asking
    our Lord
    to help
    destroy this
    raging
    red-eyed
    beast from the
    burning pits
    of Hell

    with great
    trepidation
    I
    drew
    my
    bright sabre
    its
    sharp
    blade flashing
    and charge
    slashing
    three deep cuts
    into that
    foul monster
    that hideous
    form
    it
    fell back
    dying
    spitting
    green poison as
    it expired
    I stood aghast
    as
    I saw
    that poison
    had eaten away
    my blade
    the
    beast
    dead
    a shadow
    appeared
    and
    proclaimed
    you, you,
    you slayed
    my pet
    but
    its
    only a
    baby
    next time.
    it
    will be
    its
    dad, twenty times
    bigger
    I just laughed
    saying
    God cares
    not about
    any size
    for
    it too
    shall
    die!

The Time Of Righteous Justice Was Then At Hand
    (Part One)

I woke, the damn horrid shadow was standing there
Gleam in its hateful eyes, casting a deadly stare
Its deadly claws dripping a bright-cast bloody red
Its venomous whispers, saying, soon you be dead
Rising from my bed, I asked why do you threat
It replied, soon you will see true, I made my bet
Then it gave forth that huge sardonic evil grin
Shouting your sharp sword will not save you yet again
Behind it, legion of demons laughing with glee
All pointing their crooked, black fingers right at me
For a mere moment I felt a deep twinge of fright
Then I remembered, almighty god was my might
My sharp sword was not mine but was his to command
And behind his standard, I dare to take my stand!

    Old Note-
I will finish this poem with a part two and possibly part three when I return.

New Note- I found this old poem was in the batch of poems in the journal that I found in my oldest brother's attic.
It was to be a three part series, being three sonnets in all.
I've decided to write the remaining two sonnets to finish it when I return from my vacation. God bless, Robert

As I Rose From Purple Slumberland, My Heart Red Aflame

As I rose from purple slumberland, my heart red aflame
There within crackling old bones was an itching in the game
Was there honorable valor in soul's deeper felt hate
Dare I tempt yet again the hard vicious hand of Fate
Last time, repercussions were almost impossible to bear
But scorching volcano in me cried it is only fair
Had not the evil temptress burned alive my best friend
But my sword will certainly be her righteously brought end.

It was then I knew the unholy beast had flown back home
Had done ghastly work, leaving behind bloodshed as it roam
Not sparing innocent lives of babies and young kids
Seeking to slay wherever they went and cleverly hid
Ahh but, this true sword and razor-sharp blade it soon may greet
And within all of death's aching throes its demise thus meet
A sworn oath, a promise sword upon an ancient stone
The huge monstrous beast will receive wherever it has flown.

As gleaming moon its golden rays showered upon earth
I knelt to pray to my God for all of my worldly worth
To gift me insight and power to end its wicked life
And that I am not to be shredded by its claw-like knife
Or even bitten by any of its long daggerlike teeth
Nor knocked senseless and its trampling feet stomped beneath
This sincerest prayer I utter to Heaven up high
That in this Holy quest, God rewards me, I do not die.
