no...my point was.... if lobstermen make a living selling their lobsters for X dollars per pound, do you expect them to continue to be able to make a living if they reduced their price to .3X per pound?
in fact, lobstermen don't operate with a very large profit margin at all.
I certainly was not trying to be unpleasant.
If you made widgets at work, and your company sold widgets for X dollars, and you wanted to increase demand, lowering your price to a fraction of X might accomplish that.... but in the world of fish, increasing demand does not actually cause more lobsters to grow!
and another interesting fact: when the tourists leave, the price drops!
