Default Abu Graib guard indicts Rumsfeld, Bush

In an interview with German magazine Der Stern, Abu Graib guard Lynndie England portrays herself as a "victim" and says that Rumsfeld and Bush knew of and approved the torture portrayed at the camps.

    http://www.stern.de/politik/ausland/....html?nv=ct_cb

The former Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld, called you and your colleagues the "rotten apples" of the military. Bush claimed to be ashamed of what you did.

Well, back then I thought: How can they say that when it was happening all over Iraq. The same thing is happening in Guantanamo now and other places. We knew that our officers knew about it and our sergeants. We thought if they know then somebody else knows. And I really do still think that Rumsfeld knew what was going on. I mean he had been there while I was there at that prison. And if he was there I know he knew what was going on. How could he have not known? And Bush? He's the headman.

Yes, it was a grand conspiracy and this little Specialist knew that the Secretary of Defense and the President knew what they were doing in Abu Graib.

It was all ordered from the top down! Thats why the Army itself was investigating abuse at Abu Graib and broke the story to the media. Which was ignored until the pictures came out.

Do you normally swallow loads of crap this big gabby?

If Rumsfeld was there, how could he not know? There are supposedly pictures of Rumsfeld at Abu Graib and Gitmo. The buck always stops at the top.

England is not the only soldier who has said they were "just following orders." Camp commanders have stated that the orders came from "above."

Rumsfeld and his Pentagon buddies are knee deep in this shit. That is why Bush pushed him out. Bush doesn't want the shit stain on him. Too bad, it's there anyway.

Funny how you will believe a "simple private" on other matters. If it fits your purpose.

Hell of a way to run a prison, all that torturing going on and the boss knew nothing eh? Must have all been after hours, yes, that's what it was.

Are you really that dense? I've been in the military and still work for them today. Whenever a "big-wig" comes through on a tour, the unit always puts on its best face. You think any of these officers have any idea what goes on at any place they tour just by walking through the area and shaking everyone's hands?

And you have yet to explain why the Army itself broke the story to the public if this was all to be a kept a secret ordered by Bush and Co.

How can a journalist be - a private "thinks" Rumsfield and Bush "knew what was going on," and that's news?

No, you mean it's funny YOU will believe a simple private on matters if it suits YOUR purpose.

I most certainly am not going to believe on who, unless the US military did a 180 since I retried, is making claims that go against military law and anything I was ever taught or taught to others.

Then there's the fact there is no evidence to support her claims.

She's trying to shift blame and playing to lefties and Europeans like you because it says "Bush is Bad" y'all will swallow it hook, line and sinker.

Okay, so then the admin is still guilty of gross negligence, and there is still that whole, "There are no 'black sites..... Oh, you mean those black sites, yeah, well, we need those". Bush has been a shitty president, I say this not as a Democrat, just a flat observation. He has betrayed the ideals of the republic, and of the conservative (It's fraud if you say you sell yourself as a conservative republican, and inflate government more than any admin in history, while reducing the power of the senate, where the power of a republic is based.).

He was either negligent, or willfully ignorant of what was happening, there is no chance, with the need for paperwork, that it never made it to him. Either way, he has cast a stain on the office of the president, and illuminated the reason for the checks and balances that he manipulated in his time. Somehow in the highest levels knew what was happening, if so many at the base knew what was going on, it's just not possible that the shit didn't start rolling from the top of the hill.
