TheStripey1 tipped me off to this board. Although I'm almost always labeled as a liberal, the only true liberalism in me is when it comes to social issues (besides abortion, which is a whole other thread). In terms of fiscal policy I'm much more conservative - as in deficit spending should be small or nil. I don't want to give too much away here, as there's a lot more to me than meets the eye.
Welcome! Looking forward to learning your opinions and learning FROM your opinions as well.

    Default Howdy

I found this board through a friend, liked what I saw, and thought I'd introduce myself.

I'm Geolibertarian, 44, male, from Nebraska. I'm a staunch conservative and a lifelong Republican whose proud of his country.

I supported and still support the war in Iraq, and I know that this President can win it, but that the liberals are holding him back. The way i see it is we've got to realize that we're not just fighting in iraq. This is a global war against a religious ideology bent on our destruction. It's the biggest threat we've faced and we've got to step up to the plate or lose it, and that's what we're doing.

I'm firmly against amnesty. If you're going to be in this country, you need to be here legally, you need to contribute, and you have to want to be here. You've gotta be an American.

On the social stuff I think its pretty simple. I'm strongly pro-life and 100% against queer marriage. I'm also sick and tired of watching my hardearned dollars being sent to welfare bums.

I'm proud of this president. He's been sidelined lately, but that's what happens when we let the cut-and-runners into Congress.

Anyway, I hope to have a good time and get to know you folks.

Oh Boy! Another insensative conservative. Some guy thinks he should be able to keep what he earns and not share with everybody else, how insensative. It's guys like you who keep this country from becoming socialist. I know you don't like Hillary"s health care plan, you don't like homeless folks mooching off you every 3rd of the month, then buying crack with their government checks and you don't care how they feed themselves after about the 7th or so, how insensative! But most of all I see that you think a woman has no right to murder her fetus coming from her own body just because she don't know "da babies daddy". How insensative!

Hello everyone! Emmett"s back! Got a new computer finally. One that might stay logged in for a session or two.

I came from the "other" board also at the suggestion of Mr. P, Kathianne, Psycho, and a couple of others. I was a victim of a hack job a few months ago and my computer never recovered.

I thought I had already done an intro but I guess I didn't. I am a trucker, biker, navy man with NO TATTOO's and NO pierced ear. A conservative libertarian, responsible for my own actions and I've paid more taxes in my life than 10 average people will in their entire lives. I've been sued, shot, loved and hated. I was a repoman for 20 years, raised two sons alone, started a business with 1737.40 worth of change in a bottle, made millions with it, lost it all and am trying it again.

I LOVE this forum. The people here are great! I like everybody from that opinionated ass Psycho to Stephanie. Gunny is my pal. I admire OCA, Jimmy, Abbey, Kathianne, the youngsters lefty opinions and like to just sit back and read mostly. I'm not heavy poster in ratio verses time spent on the board. I like to stick in a little humor (very little) when possible and look forward to a little more.

    Default Greetings from Texas!

    Hi everyone!

I am a 41 year old conservative from Texas (same town as sock puppet) who loves to talk politics and technology. I am the Network Engineer for the local university and find it interesting being just about the only conservative in my working environment. I will look forward to some great discussions and debates.

I believe that several of my forum friends and acquaintances have shown up here. Hi Sock Puppet, Stoner, Nevadamedic, Red States Rule, and Chesswarsnow.

    Default Hello USA

Just to say hello to everyone. First off, I thought I would pass on my vast history knowledge of America -

I remember a trip to America and I went to visit a school. With being English, they wanted me to sit in one of the history classes dressed as an Indian. I thought, 'This will go down well'.
The teacher said, Let’s begin by reviewing some American History.
Teacher :- Who said ‘Give me Liberty, or give me Death’?
The whole class was a sea of blank faces except for me, so I put my hand up and said, ‘Patrick Henry, 1775,’.
Teacher :- Who said ‘Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?’
Again, no response, so I said:- ‘Abraham Lincoln, 1863’
The teacher snapped at the class, ‘Class, you should be ashamed, Nonnie who is new to our country, knows more about our history than you do.’
She heard a loud whisper: ‘Fuck the Indians’
‘Who said that?’ she demanded. Again I said, ‘General Custer, 1862.’
At that point, a student in the back said, ‘I’m gonna puke.’
The teacher glares around and asks ‘All right! Now, who said that?’
So I says, ‘George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 1991.’
Now furious, another student yells, ‘Oh yeah? Suck this!’
I jump out of my chair waving my hand and I shout to the teacher, ‘Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky, 1997.’
Now with almost mob hysteria someone said ‘You little shit. If you say anything else, I’ll kill you.’
By know, I frantically yell at the top of my voice, ‘Michael Jackson to the child witness testifying against him, 2004.’
The teacher fainted. And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said,
‘Oh shit, we’re screwed!’ so I said said quietly, ‘I think it was Lehmann Brothers, November 4th,2008’.
    I thought it went well.

So I'm looking forward to wandering around your forum, speaking to others and getting to know your way of living. Thanks to Perianne for directing me to this site, she said it was full of lunatics so I should fit in well. And I'm not gullible so I thank her for that nice comment.
