Default Obama demands work on climate change, despite no evidence that man can affect climate

In the forty years since the first Earth Day, people have been screeching that mankind's activities have been having deleterious effects on the earth's climate. They have also been digging and digging for proof of this... and come up completely empty.

In those 40 years, not a single study has been done that has proven an link between human activity and climate change, despite all the demand for such a result. Many "studies" have pointed to a cooling trend, and then pointed to increased use of fossil fuels (coal, oil etc.) by man. And then they have jumped to the conclusion that the one causes the other, without actually demonstrating any causal relationship.

More recently, the same thing has been done with the idea of global warming, apparently ignoring all the previous "conclusions" that the globe was cooling. And most recently of all, the advocates of all this stuff have thrown up their hands and announced that the problem is "global climate change", carefully avoiding specifying what change that is.

A number of reports have also come out, citing the previous reports as "evidence" that they have proved their point on global warming, or cooling, or whatever... without mentioning the fact that the previous reports contained no such evidence, but only more jumping to conclusions.

With all this non-evidence rising to a crescendo, Barack Obama has now announced that we must expend massive resources (exact amount not specified) to change the climate. The fact that no one has ever shown that man can do that at all, or that he can do it in the future, seems to not bother him. He even seems to feel that this effort to change the climate, must supersede our efforts to recover from the current economic problems we face.

How much work must we do, how many resources will we have to expend (in the middle of dozens of other "crises" we must deal with) before President Obama perhaps realizes that he is tilting at windmills - "fighting" something that is impossible for us to have any effect on?

Obama pleads for harder work on climate change

    by BEN FELLER
    The Associated Press

UNITED NATIONS -- President Barack Obama has implored world leaders to confront climate change, saying there can be no peace without cooperative work to preserve the planet.

Appearing before global leaders gathered at the United Nations, Obama said Wednesday that "the danger posed by climate change cannot be denied - and our responsibility to meet it must not be deferred."

The president said "this is why the days when America dragged its feet on this issue are over." He said he understood the tempation of nations to put economic recovery from recession ahead of climate change work, but said that must not be allowed to happen.

The problem with Global warming advocates is that they have no idea what they are talking about but believe it as if it were gospel. Its a new religion. I was arguing with my sister in law recently about health care and we got on the subject of "cap and trade." she said that we need to do something to stop global warming. I said what global warming? She said that "all" the scientists say it's happening and that we need to do something. So I said, what should we do? She went on about stopping companies from polluting. I said how? She said tax them. I said, all that is going to do is make them charge more money for the products they make and keep polluting at the rate that they are going. So what is solved then?

The argument fell apart about then. The point was that she was very adament about doing "something" to stop global warming because she believes that the world will end if we don't. With no regard to actual studies and actual findings that have been done on the subject. They site studies that have "suggested conclusions" that do not correlate to the scientific data they gathered up to that point.

The bottomline with global warming is that we know enough to know that we don't know anything. There are way too many variables to draw any conclusions about whether or not we have an impact on the world in the eye blink of existence that we've been on this planet. Too many variables remain to responisbly throw billions of dollars at a problem that we haven't even properly identified.

Where is the scientific proof that says if the Earth gets warmer its going to be the end of everything? I still don't understand this line of thought, scientific records show the Earth's climate has been warmer in the past than it is now. It was completely natural then, so why is it suddenly now impossible that it is a natural occurance now? Especially since the Earth has been warming for the last 10,000+ years? When the ocean tempuratures where 10-15 degrees celsius warmer than today millions of years ago, why did the Earth not "die" then?

Along that same line of thought, people assume that we are causing this and creating damage to the human race through famine, droughts, etc. If we look at the Middle ages as a microcasm, we see that the early part of the middle ages in Europe was a prosperous period where the climate was warm and the crops were plentiful. Thus the Renaissance. Health was good and we had free time to look at the sciences and the arts. When the climate changed and came into whats known as the "Little Ice Age", Europe experienced droughts, famine and hardship. It was an extraordinarily hard time in humanity where we see the Black death among other diseases popping up. Now, what did those people do to the climate that caused this sudden change?

Well, sometimes disastrous things are caused by human beings. That would
be the most preventable drought ever in the valley of CA where the dirt
natzis got 90% of the water turned off that sustained the vast and productive farmlands (formerly!) under the guise of saving a stupid little minnow
like fish that was getting caught in the water system.

Guess no one has informed the messiah that we are at this point in time....
    cooling!
What are reparations? Making me pay
for something I had nothing to do with compensates no one
who suffered an injustice therefore I would be penalized for
something I didnt do and someone else would receive a settlement
for an injury they did not suffer.
