    Default Breaks my heart

Great story of this guy - horrible injury - I'm happy his leg and ankle broke vs. sprain...still - teared up watching the reaction of the players. Very proud of Coach Carrol and the Seattle Fans.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans waived injured rookie running back Stafon Johnson, the former Southern California standout whose college career was ended by a weightlifting accident that crushed his neck.

As soon as he clears waivers, coach Jeff Fisher said they will put him on injured reserve to keep him around the training facilities during his recovery.

    Kuharsky: What Now For Johnson?

Kuharsky There was no way the Titans could hold a roster spot open for Stafon Johnson with the rookie expected to miss eight to 12 weeks, making Tuesday's move the only option, Paul Kuharsky writes. Blog

Johnson dislocated his right ankle and broke his fibula Saturday night in the Titans' 20-18 loss at Seattle. Before Tuesday's move, Fisher had said Johnson would be out up to 12 weeks recovering from what he called "major reconstructive surgery."

"We have not given up on him just the opposite of that," Fisher said after practice. "We are going to put him on injured reserve for the year."

“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.

I remember when he hurt his neck at USC and was shocked at how he recovered, and as quick as he did. And even after all he went through he still made it to an NFL team. I hope someone gives him a chance when he recovers from this injury. What a story it would be if he came back a 3rd time and became a productive NFL player.

Need I say more?” - Chris Rock

he should have a home w/ the titans - and I'm sure no team would try to claim him via waivers.
