So, whatever happened to Judge Vinson's 1-week stay of his Obamacare ruling?
Several weeks ago, District Court judge Roger Vinson found Obamacare unconstitutional, mostly because Congress did not have the constitutional power to order U.S. citizens to buy a product or pay penalties if they didn't.
Then, Approx, two weeks ago, he issues a temporary stay of his own ruling, and wrote that, if the Obama admin files an appeal quickly with a higher court (Appeals or the Supremes), he would extend the stay.
Well, the one-week deadline was up last week. Anyone know what happened? Did the Obamanites appeal the ruling? Did Vinson cancel the stay? I have found nothing about it in the usual net sources.
Anyone know?
