Exactly. I don't think folks understand the words "per se" well enough. Joe is correct as much as I hate to take his side. The Taliban aren't the enemy "per se". BUT, they chose to harbor and give aid to AQ who is the enemy "per se". As such, the Taliban became a legitimate military target.
