Apparently all Starbucks does, is refuse to ban an activity that is completely legal and harmless.

Explain to me how this is a "bad" thing?

Kudoes to Starbucks for not yielding to the usual hysteria and groveling that characterizes some businesses.

BTW, as for the other businesses that DO try to ban people from carrying inside their stores:

Does this mean you are ready to take full responsibility for any inuries (up to and including death) I might sustain if a criminal comes in and starts assaulting me (possibly with a gun as he blithely ignores your "ban") and the other patrons in your store? Since you choose to force us to give up the ability to defend ourselves, are you ready and willing to cope with the lawsuits we (or our next of kin) will file against you for materially contributing to our injuries and/or deaths by imposing your arbitrary ban on our (wholly legal and reasonable) activity of going armed and thus depriving us of our fundamental right to defend ourselves, when a criminal does his criminal activity?

Probably not. I think those that are advocating for no guns in Starbucks would think anyone getting hurt by a robber would sue the store ... not the advocates.
