I live in Australia which has very strict gun laws and apart from the odd bikie gang shootout, we never have to live in fear of being shot at while out living our daily lives let alone not knowing if our children will come home alive from school.



Less guns for everyone means that there are less guns for criminals to get hold of. It's logical to assume that the latest massacre would have been much less serious had the guy been armed with just a knife instead of a gun. He might not have even gone through with it (though his mum would probably have been knifed in her sleep instead of shot).

Your major problem is in understanding that the USA does not mimic Australia. Not in the constitutions, nor the laws, nor the population, nor governments.

Your goverment can get away with far more control over your life than can this government in the USA.

That won't stop the kids from getting shot. It will stop ordinary citizens from owning firearms that could stop people from shooting children in the head, but it won't stop child murderers.

Well I live in the good old USA in Indiana to be exact. The county I live in has seen 2 murders in 20 years. Pretty good I would say neither of which were commited with the use of a firearm. So I don't worry about living in fear of being shot or my children being in danger at school. See this is what MOST of America is like not the bullshit that is portrayed on the news as being prevalent every where. EVERYONE I know has and uses guns throughout the year for hunting and sprt shooting we don't have issues with gun violence and we don't have issue of uneducated children finding a gun and NOT knowing what to do with it...

Where has all your concern been for the kids killed every month in Chicago? They average 41 a month, why have I not seen any of your outrage over that? Are those people somehow less important? What's wrong? Those victims not white enough for you? It takes the shooting of twenty white kids to get your attention, but the murder of Chicago's black youth means nothing to you? I think the shooter who lured firefighters to the house he set ablaze in upper New York State killed himself after shooting four firemen, two dead. I am thinking this mass murder thing is the new fashion in suicides. They ALL commit suicide as soon as they hear the cops coming, so it seems to me suicide is the first thing on their minds, and the mass murders are a way to go out with a bigger splash.

It's a fashion, a meme, so I suppose it won't last forever; I hope not. There's a book out on exactly this kind of killing, The Copycat Effect: I want to read it.

As I was walking by one of the TV's at work and saw the horrible events taking place, I thought to myself how Gabby must be running to the computer to post a thread on more gun laws. Like all libs, people like you Gabby cannot wait to exploit the murder of people - even children- to advance your political agenda
