If we were as industrious to become good as to make ourselves great, we should become really great by being good, and the number of valuable men would be much increased; but it is a grand mistake to think of being great without goodness; and i pronounce it as certain that there was never yet a truly great man that was not at the same time truly virtuous." - Ben Franklin

bullshit - that line of "reasoning" is part of the agenda to push sexuality. If Sex can be bad, EVER, then it presents problems to people, like yourself, who push sexuality as a defining characteristic.
Get out of last century with your understanding about the psychology of rape, Gabby.
Emphasis mine
...rape takes different forms, including a political version and a sadistic version but the majority of sexual assaults are more about sexual gratification than control over women per se...But to argue that the casual rapist isn't raping for sex but for violence, power, and control is rather like saying that the mugger mugs people as an act of violence rather than because he wants their money or that the shoplifter shoplifts purely out of kleptomania or to get revenge on the store, not in order to, you know, get stuff free. Or that the person who murders witnesses isn't doing it to keep them from talking but just for the sake of the violence itself.
...
Which leads in to the reason why we keep hearing that rape is not about sex. It is philosophically untenable to keep pushing the boundaries of the sexual revolution without making rape seem less and less violative by comparison, as the act which is coerced in rape becomes less and less private, personal, and valued in society. So the only way to retain the sense of horror at rape is to alter the rationale for rape being bad; that the goal is total violation, so that the violence becomes the issue; rather than the horror coming from the intimacy of the act which was forced upon the victim, which is the old rationale.
Kind of a problem here - first, and namely, the 'average' almost NEVER happens within a group. The 'average' person doesn't do very much at all.
Homosexuals rape. Heterosexuals rape. A heterosexual cannot rape somebody of the same gender; because if the person is raping somebody of the same gender, they are homosexual.
Homosexual/Heterosexual - they are verbs; defined by what we do, or do not do.
“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.
It could be argued then that when women wear sexually enticing and revealing clothing, they are attempting to gain mental control over men and elicit physical responses from them. Rape, therefore, would just be the man retaking control over his own responses.
How long have you been practicing Sharia, Gabby?
Mama Jeffro: Jeeeeh-froooo! What's going on down there? What's that smell?
Jeffro: Nothing ma! Me and Lorenzo are practicing our Turkish oil wrestling.

The majority of men in prison aren't boinking each other. The rule of common sense still stands: if you get it up for a man, you're gay.
18 U.S. Code § 2381-Treason Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

Saying that rape is about sex is like saying that being a soldier is about killing. You join the military to kill people, right? Obviously you enjoyed killing people, right Darin? You looked forward to your next chance to kill people, didn't you? Isn't that why you still own guns? So you can fantasize about killing people?
Anyone who has taken the most basic psychology courses knows rape is about power and control. It isn't about sexual urges and needs.
It isn't about how a woman dresses or looks. It is about taking controlling of another person.
Men need to stop blaming rape on the victim. That is why so few rapes are reported. That is why there is such an epidemic of violence against women.
Men who blame rape on women are often sexual abusers themselves. Many mentally and physically abuse their spouses and children. Because they have this fantasy that they need more respect that they are not getting.
Sorry Darin (and anyone else who believes rape is about sex), you are dead fucking WRONG. And I feel sorry for your family if you continually have these sick fantasies about rape and sex. Obviously you were raised wrong and continue to be sick in the head.

At no point did you issue would could be considered a valid point, much less a rational thought.
You wanna debate this? I will destroy your arguments if you promise to avoid logical fallacy.
Your mindset in folks forbids truth, however. Go back and read the links i posted, then come back if you want to talk like grown-ups.

You are a farking idiot who doesn't know what he is talking about. Unless you are a rapist and are speaking from personal experience. In which case you might have a valid argument and I could be wrong.
Why should I "debate" someone on a topic they know nothing about? You have no experience in this other than jerking off to porn.
I have worked in rape centers, prisons and halfway houses. Most rapists stalk their victim before attacking. Many rape several women. A large number of rapists has issues in their past that have caused them to hate women. Some come from bad marriages or bad relationships. Others were sexually abused as a child.
Women dress like women. If puritanical American men weren't so uptight about boobs (which I know many of you are) and other body parts, they could actually walk down a street and not think about women as sex objects.
If anyone wants to know what rape is about, go volunteer in a rape crisis center. Go talk with police officers who investigate rapes.
Darin, if you can stop thinking with your dick long enough to post a valid reply, go ahead. That will prove your point right there.
I am not sure what your point is.
Rape for any reason is terrible, harms victims and is always wrong. Which is why laws put such people into lock up.
I am not sure lock up should be the right punishment. Seems to me part of your argument is over what the rapist believes. Perhaps said rapist should be put where skilled people can alter the mind. Even if about sex, it is wrong.
This country relies on jail too much it seems to me.
Alternatives must exist given other large countries keep fewer in jail than this country does.
Don't we lead the world in convicts?
