Jordin was a good choice. She'll be a good pop music star, as opposed to Taylor (has he even put out an album?), Carrie (a great country singer), or Fantasia (on Broadway).

For me, the best performance of the night, hands down, was Jordin & Ruben's cover of Marvin Gay/Tammi Terrell's hit, "You're All I Need To Get By". They could sell that to me right now.

I agree she's a good choice, I expect she'll be very successful. My only concern is her age and the effect that such success may have on her at 17. I hope her parents are smart enough to shield her from the dirty seedy side of the music business. I think they are and I'm sure Idol will be watching out for her too. Ya know - the other night they had Chris Daughtry on the show with his band - my wife and I couldn't help but think just how much he MOPPED the floor with all the contestants this year..
