Isn't it peculiar then how attitudes are different in nudist areas.

For one thing, I'd surmise that when everyone is nude, it's an equalizer. Not a true representation of the effect of one person dressing in skimpy clothing while everyone else is fully clothed.

Being sexually assaulted is not a consequence of dress code. It is a result of a societal acceptance that people are 'asking for it' etc becuase they have multiple sexual partners, or wear certain clothes etc.

Or if you are a Dem holding elected office, your supporters and allies in the media simply dismiss it as a "personal issue" and it is really nobody's business

It is amazing to see how male liberals REALLY view women. Seems more liberal males are carrying on the Kennedy tradition when it comes to their treatment of women

and many nudist agree that slutty/skimpy dressing is MORE arousing than plain nudity, or modest clothing. because it draws attention to the certain areas.

Yeah, that would be people who are taking preconceived notions such as nudity = consent, public nudity = Voyeurism etc. people either learn that this is wrong or leave. Simple.

Also, slut walks arn't just about wearing clothes that 'draw attention to certain areas' they're about being able to wear whatever makes you comfortable without being harassed in the street. As a common example, my girlfriend (who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks) can almost guarantee that on a walk down to town in the summer she will have men shout out of cars or beep horns at her etc. Things like that have a very real and very negative impact on a lot of people.

Look at the comments over these pages about sluts - the fact that the term slut is associated as a derogatory term is enough in and of itself - and how they are viewed. True we are better than most countries, but their is still a lot to be done.

Are you a puritanical prude or something? Are you trying to stifle speech with you ideas or morals and good conduct? Like maybe Men treating women like sisters and older women like their own mothers. Hey I could walk in that one I just think the name of the march alone degrades woman . I know where I come from it does, if ya call a woman a slut you will more than likley get slapped ( if not shot depending on the woman ) but woman calling there march the Slut March are exactly the ones that walk by construction sites as many times a day just to hear the cat calls
