you know, I'm starting to become very worried about where you and Noir live, cause they seem like insanely misogynistic places. I've lived in a number of places around the country here, and have yet to observe any of these things in public. Heck, I didn't even see any of that living in New York City.

Actually, men usually stay out of what women are wearing these days, aside from when things like the slut walk come up, and we're left scratching our heads as to why. Generally, it's women who are the pricks in this department, just like it was women who were the main issue for women in the Victorian era.

Thats untrue. My friend Tim is/was a slut, and many women knew that and did him anyways. Which sorta makes them sluts by fornication..maybe,, i don't know. Since when have insults not had a gender context? Calling a woman dickless, per my example, would have no meaning, so therefore, that is an insult with a gender context.

Generally, I don't know what the term is where you're at, but we've settled on man-whore over here. I've man-slut, but it really just doesn't roll of the tongue as well.

Also, slut is an insult, it's simply been downgraded, just like bitch has been.

Where are these things occuring over here though? I have a majority of female friends, and a number of them are rather good looking, so how have I and they missed these past couple decades? I mean, seriously, you're telling me I've lived along almost the entire eastern seaboard, Including such rough places as NYC and Boston, and, what, everyone decided to behave just cause I was in town?

Again, where is this crap occuring, like with evidence aside from people just saying on the internet that it happens to them constantly? Cause serious, if we're admitting that as evidence, then there are a whole mess of guys out there suffering from having penises too big for condoms, somewhere about 75% of the male population.

I feel sorry that it's like that in the UK, but over here, I'm sorry, but neither I, nor my female friends, are just not seeing it. Yes, there's the occasional creepy come on, but that's neither limited to matters of gender, nor region of the world. Want proof? Go on OKCupid and start whipping through the male and female profiles on there. You'll see it on both sides. Gay, straight, or bi-, there's creep for all.

But again, this isn't even about what they're marching for. We're one step shy of just shooting rapists in the head over here, I don't think we can get more against it than that. You're more likely to lose your office in the states for a sexual assault, rape, or harassment charge than you are for a DUI car accident, or being a flat alcoholic. Hell, Cheney shot a dude in the face, and kept his office. You don't even need to be guilty, we're pretty much willing to break out the torches and pitchforks for being accused. So again, Noir, how does this walk change anything? I mean, once you've gotten to the point of lynch mobs, it can hardly get more against it.

It means the cops assume you're guilty, until you're proven guilty. And if you're not guilty, they keep an eye on you... just in case (i.e. "You may have that judge fooled, and that jury, and the forensic analysts, and the doctors who did the dna check and rape kit, but I know better!")
