Science today seeks less truth than affirmation. Just as folks were burned or killed or mock with radical ideas of the earth being ROUND, ANY...and I mean ANY evidence that the party-line isn't followed will result in scoffs and branding-a-fool.
Tearing at the heart of the 'millions and billions?' of years of evolution is this: Nothing in our biological systems would have maintained if not beneficial to the organism. We tout the education of 'experts' - who aren't taught truth-seeking; they are taught based on the preconceptions of professors - taught based on ideology.
