From The Associated Press 2 October 2015:
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
Lawyers for immigrant families denied birth certificates for their U.S.-born children by Texas health officials who refuse to recognize as valid certain forms of identification will argue for a federal judge to intervene against the state. ...Dozens of families and children sued the Texas Department of State Health Services after local authorities refused various foreign identifications. Good for Texas. Hopefully the USSC won't try to dodge the issue this time, and they will eventually hear this, we all know it.

From The New York Times 17 September 2015:
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------
At the Republican debate on Wednesday and throughout the campaign, candidates led by Donald J. Trump have assailed illegal immigration, and some have questioned whether children who are born to immigrants in this country illegally should be considered American citizens. ...Without a birth certificate, illegal immigrants say they cannot have newborns baptized, have had difficulty enrolling their children in day care and school and have lost or fear losing Medicaid coverage and other government services and benefits for their families. ...Mexico filed a brief in support of the parents suing Texas, with its lawyers calling the state’s actions a violation of international law that introduces “a troublesome and discordant element into binational or transnational relations.”

    One of the comments:
Of course one must point out the obvious yet again...we're NOT discussing "immigrants" but foreign nationals who are here illegally and contrary to US law, a huge distinction. Immigrants follow our law and entry procedures, illegals obviously couldn't care less.

I'm sure Guatemala will be pleased as punch to hear that Mexico now respects the rights of illegal aliens.

Go figure. Texas. We're tired of the shit.

Why I don't get Rick Perry dropping out. Guess he's not media friendly (he DOES come across as a dork). We have a better economy than the rest of the US.
