They took it too far, asked for too much. This doesn't negate the concept of BASIC worker protections.

Just goes to show you that unions are no longer viable and needed in today's modern society. With corporate maturation ALL benefit contracts should be negotiated directly between management and employees.

No. We must remain vigilant that legal worker protections stay in place even though things seem good right now. Faith placed in the benevolence of coporations is faith misplaced.

It doesn't seem that way at all. It just seems you think evil, selfishness, and mistreatment of others is what it means to be an American. You're fucked in the head, senor sicko.

No, its just easier for you to hate achievers if you label them this way with preconceived notions. It makes you feel better about yourself.

I don't hate achievers, I merely feel like business should be constrained and balanced by other factors, moral factors, long term security considerations etc. Complicated adult things.

Morality is irrelivant in today's business world. The almighty dollar is the bottom line. If it makes money, its righteous.

I hear it. I've been saying it here and there too. The current system is broken but the framework still exists. It's underneath the garbage pile of laws that have been made to circumvent the constitution, waterdown the rights of states and individuals and line the pockets of greedy bureacrats. This is one of the reasons the second amendment exists. It's so that the people can take back their government by force if necessary. Once again though, the government has made laws that prohibit citizens from both organizing militias AND owning the level of firepower needed to fight the government.

So then corporations were out of control and taking advantage of people? And the unions brought balance to the economy?
