Cool Winds Fiercely Blow, I Feel Those Deep Cold Chills

Under darkest shade of tallest red elm out back
soundly shielded from glaring lights and old headstones
Resting in shadows, mother's food in my backpack
lost, so far away from damn ringing telephones.

My ragged-torn heart sheds its blistering dead skins
replacing with quiet and long reaching sweet dreams
Agony, quenched fear of my many past dark sins
the results of greedy and lustful blackened schemes.

In lazy and long imaginary repose,
soul's desires springing forth like a tiger on prey
Shady elm, that my tired beckoning spirit chose
sad, sad shame that you my friend, have nothing to say

Under shades of white oaks on far away black hills
cool winds fiercely blow, I feel those deep cold chills.

    A True Friend's Offer

Take a seat and rest you weary soul on my stage
matters not your great troubles or age
Cast off those shadows that chase you down
swim in my sea, I'll not let you drown!

Award me the gifts of your anger and grief
size means nothing I can still bring relief
With words of faith and very good cheer
laced with conviction, tis' nothing to fear!

Load me up with scandals, falsely laid upon you
I can easily conquer a dozen or two
So wrap them up, stop your fearful liven'
they will be well received, that is a given!

Why not agree to do what I now so plead
I have blessings ready, that you so greatly need
Look at it as a new start, means to a good end
for are we not equally kind and very good friends!

Note-- True friendship is a treasure often far more valuable that rubies
    and gold!
A blessed man is he that can say he truly has even just one
    great and true friend!
Some are greatly blessed with more.

One Tree Hill, Life Then Just A Thrill

One tree hill, life then just a thrill
so long before I dared to roam
In youth Fate delivered no bill
seas so calm , no dark raging foam

When fleeting years had raced away
time when joy ranked over the bad
Springtime, we lived and dared to play
long before bitter brought the sad

One tree hill, now barren- alone
winter gave its shadows and grief
Cold so deep, down into the bone
praying for Spring to bring relief

    Alone- life shows regretful pains
Can Spring wash away such great stains?

    Olive Trees Of Gold

The Olive trees are dressed in gold
It’s morning time the day is cold
The sun beams down upon these trees
That dance upon fresh morning breeze

It’s such a lovely sight to see
These trees brim filled with mystery
How they give to me such pleasure
Dawn it is to me a treasure

    Azaleas in lovely pink
They charm my eyes and make me think
    Of everything that’s beautiful
Sweet mother nature has it all

Enriched I am as I sit here
Beneath a sky so blue, and clear

Taking Steps In Your On Sweet Time

To live, one must walk into the fire and burn
just enough to burn old skin away.
When born, this world must submit to our turn
before it, our hide tries to slay.

To survive, carry an ever growing big stick
big enough to hit the vermin and stop.
For defense and seeing is the great trick
sweeping trash up before we mop!

To enjoy, love deeper slow-dance tunes
taking steps in your on sweet time.
Just quick enough to see new moons
and dance around a new dime!

To reach old age, slow thee down a bit
let the flying ball, catch the mitt!

Firing True Love Down As Raindrops In Love Showers

What arrows does Love's Cupid shoot with his love-bow
That so many cry, not needed for fun in bed
What! No longer desired that sweet after-love glow
Insanity, how came that to such empty heads?

Surely darkness and rabid lust will be destroyed
For romance must exist to inspire joy in Life
How came such folly of being willing sex-toyed
Instead of Love's sanctity, being man and wife!

Nay! Romantic poets, of this blight would not approve
Death of verse singing of deepest Love and truest Hearts
This plague of rash, wretched acts we must now remove
Before such thoughts consumes and rips Love's pairs apart!

Will Cupid regain his deep romantic powers
Firing true Love down as raindrops in Love showers

Whisper Softly To Me Again As You Fade

No more stones, my dinner plate is too full
my teeth broken on that hardened black heart
Broke, heavy iron chain you loved to pull
dead, tired old horse that dragged your evil cart

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

No more rocks, I am wise and older
I see pitch black upon your angel wings
I need sweet companion just to hold her
spirit that makes my soul feel as it sings

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

No more deep cuts, your knife is getting dull
waves of blues eat deeper into my brain
Holes you drilled into this tired sleeping skull
birthed dark echoes with each sharp aching pain

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

No more stabs, wicked kind you do so well
secrets we shared call out but I refuse
Tender were kisses and sweeter your smell
now darkness looms forth, one I did not choose

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

No more crying, sad cries for your sweet love
now fire burns hot, in this living Hell
Mercy arrived today, from far above
told me, see her as dust in a dry well

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

No more shouts, soft words decorating you
songs I wrote, in praise of our deep romance
Foolish me, gave you much more than your due
wrapped in love,so deep in a blind trance

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

No more stones, my dinner plate is too full
my teeth broken on that hardened black heart
Broke, heavy iron chain you loved to pull
dead, tired old horse that dragged your evil cart

Whisper softly to me again as you fade
from this misery-meal your deceptions made

    Memories Of An Elegant Dancer

She dances, her dance revolving around moonlight
That soothing glow, that aching in love sight
A tango(?), heavenly and rare beauty in play
All eyes watching, her steps, in swishing sway.

Never shall ever greater true treasure be found
Movement in elegant grace, silent sound
Far too brief her Summer in that majestic Hall
Left behind, Love in each echoing call.

Alas! What dark treachery voids this dearest dream
Cool breeze and softest steps from her slow spins
Pray we, restore lost sight of her dancing mid-stream
With promised paradise that never ends.

She dances, her dance revolving around moonlight
That soothing glow, that aching in love sight
A tango(?), heavenly and rare beauty in play
All eyes watching, her steps, in swishing sway.

When A Poet Falls Deep And Writes No More

I findeth no voice to cry,
roar comes from lost sheep all a'bleeting.
O' that my live-soul shall die,
my wiles are all so self-defeating.

I painteth not with true dye,
bold colors are now all a'bleeding
O' that I could soar blue sky,
    earth renew, by poetic weeding.

    I holdeth no golden pen,
dreams break apart in sleep a'snoring.
Lost in this dark world of men,
    love vacated, aching, life-boring.

Echoes chills, this heart tis a'needing.
    Voice gone, Hope needs a'feeding.

Once On A Festive, Golden Afternoon

Once on a festive, golden afternoon,
    Trailing slow through forests primeval green;
Setting sun was low, eager to leave soon,
    Its orange rays giving radiant sheen;
Images coming of stars and forested nights
    Moonbeams bouncing into beautiful glow;
    Such majestic earthen natural sights,
Nature preening up with its nighttime show
Yellow-eyed owls to call with hoot, hoot hoot,
    Wildcats gliding through foliage unseen;
Quietly clomping forth in hiking boots,
    Admiring shadowed beauty, Nature's screen
Heart felt glee in future imagined moon
    Hiking forth festive, golden afternoon.

I decided to actually write a poem today and not be lazy about it..
Took me ten times longer than usual but this came forth..
Hope you may enjoy and know its message is truth....

SUBJECT, When fear begets silence a great and evil calamity is insured....--Tyr

When Silence And Indifference Hold Sway

When they came for the snake to take away
I gaily approved, had nothing to say.
Next the frog, croaking after bright sun sets
Again my cold-silence hedged all my bets.
Turtle taken hiding in his hard shell
Again I foolishly thought, what the hell!

Then they grabbed the mouse hiding in the wall
Still afraid, I heeded not courage's call.
Early morn, they broke in, took my old cat
Again, I voiced no words, silently sat.
That night they came took my beloved dog
Now one ray of light broke through that dense fog!

They came yet again, chopped down every tree
I knew the score, knew next it would be me.
In horror, I found it was too damn late
My cold silence had insured my sad Fate.
I should have spoken when they took the snake
I would pay, my honor I did forsake!

Sun rose and I found all had been a dream
Dark nightmare, about how evil men scheme.
Still shaking as it had been all too real
Terror found, when no way found to appeal.
Message came, hold true to honor and love
Stand not idle when evil starts to shove!

Wisdom said beware, dark comes, not a dream
Man's black-heart souls work together in teams.
Best to know with courage, one may prevail
Even against demons from pits of Hell.
So gird thy loins and sharpen thy long spears
Far better than dying in shame and tears!

Age Gracefully And Seed Many Fine Crops

If embracing deep Hell sired vanities
one walks gauntlets, paths of insanity,
Hold false flattery to thy shallow vest
    thee only finds brimstone paths which to rest;
Better to sear thy soul with truest of flames
one never wins playing Lucifer's games.
Sharpen blades and string thy best heavy bow
    with faith and courage do more than just show;
Allow thy fruit to ripen sweet with time
then family and love will be sublime,
Age gracefully and seed many fine crops
know that evil and darkness never stops.

In sweetest fertile soil plant thy fruit trees
be sweet to flowers, as flowers to bees.

Oft Bold The Thoughts, When Pen Strikes Paper

Oft bold the thoughts, when pen strikes paper
even should ones shovel meet dark coals.
Shrouds removed, to smell new rising vapors
or challenge poets tired and resting souls!

Sought, shimmering pools of bright, clear waters
even should bare feet stay perfectly dry.
Honing in on what truly, truly matters
with deep imagination, oft we learn to fly!

With deft strokes, ink oft treasures display
even should, the hiding muse wail.
With emotions risen, word-spouts soon spray
darkest secrets others fear, fear to tell!

Oft bold the thoughts, when pen strikes paper
even should ones shovel meet dark coals.
Shrouds removed, to smell new rising vapors
or to challenge poets tired and resting souls!

Gold and white marble in great palaces rise
even should the tale turn sad and tragic.
With one stroke, ink opens up radiant skies
and therein lies Art, poetry's golden magic!

From grim and gray, ink oozes sweeter romance
even should the poet decide one dies.
What is life, if nothing was ever left to chance
the one taken, when gazing into her eyes!

Oft bold the thoughts, when pen strikes paper
even should ones shovel meet dark coals.
Shrouds removed, to smell new rising vapors
or challenge lost poets, tired and resting souls!

Waiting for beauty as in, "Venice, the Bridge of Sighs"
even should sought after results not compare.
Pen lingers, waiting for beauty of, rainbow skies
or soul's desirous depths only true love can bear!

With each new stroke, paper relishes the arrival
even should, the splash reveal darker stains
For creativity is the rich goal not mere survival
and the feeling that lasting success attains!

Oft bold the thoughts, when pen strikes paper
even should ones shovel meet dark coals.
Shrouds removed, to smell new rising vapors
or challenge poets tired and resting souls!

As ink paints and starry eyed love takes hold
even should one decide its failure, all is lost.
A great tragedy is born and thus many have sold
for gold, tho' poet's heart pays weeping cost!

On to the next stanza, pen cries to be set free
even should, disaster strike the reluctant poet.
Another ship waits for its long trip to black-ink seas
in heart of hearts, poetry lives, if we but grow it!

Note-- I did spend much, much longer on this one that any other poem previously written in the last 6 months. Hope the reader may enjoy the read and the thoughts on Life, Love, Poetry, Imagination, Messages and Black Ink staining previously clean white pages..
