I like Toby Keith. He puts his money where his mouth is where vets are concerned. As a musical artist, I can't say I like a lot of his stuff. I like his funny crap. Go figure. We all know I'm warped. The best Trace Adkins video in the world to me is the one where that parody guy trashes Every Light in the House is On and Trace is chasing him around at the end.

As far as Gabby goes, she's not cool enough to be country. Always pissing on everyone else's parade. That get together someone was talking about in another thread? Read my post again. I said I do not like country music; however I do like patriotic gestures which is
something this nation needs. Country performers sing from the throat and nose....I don't not like that sound.
I was taught to sing from the chest, and I was in choruses and small groups for years.

I don't restrict my sons media usage at all. They listen to "video game music", which in my opinion is pretty boring stuff. All I ask of them is to "keep me in the loop" so that I can explain whatever it is they see. BTW: My whole family complained when I DIDN'T vote for Trump.

Also, there's no need to be shallow and be pigeonholed. I like Toby Keith, Pitbull AND Snoop Dogg. They all have their own flavor of talent.

I exercise my parental right to supervise what my daughter watches, listens to and reads about. I also approve who she hangs out with and who she dates.
I dislike rap primarily for its subject matter. If you look at the lyrics, they quite often condone violence, drug use, sexual assault, misogyny and general disrespect of others.
I enjoy a lot of country music. I dislike the pop-country and cowboy hat, good ole boy country where good looks often are more important than musical quality.
