Well I'll be dipped... I didn't know ya had it in ya, Gunny. COOL.
My mother used to sing opera. When she was in college she took singing lessons from NUNS. I remember when I was just a young tyke my Ma used to sing like when us kids would get roped into drying the dishes as she washed them among other things, and she'd sing... and oh my God, my Ma could sing... I have RECORDS of her singing. She was a favorite requested by many at weddings and such, and she even sang at her own college graduation. I'll tell ya, I like opera, and my favorite for YEARS has been Sarah Birightam. I would cut my left nut off to see this woman in concert. I have just about all her CD's, but my favorite is her CD "Classics"... just one off there... but they're ALL GOOD... my Ma used to just belt this out, it was awesome...

Keep in mind, I have a sound system that I've been building and upgrading for YEARS, DECADES, it's a passion, the latest of which is my Parasound stereo amp. I don't know why I waited so long to go to separates, probably money, because when your system evolves, the money just keeps going up.... but... music takes on a new ambiance... like hearing the same songs you've heard for years but for the first time... so that's why I'm posting this song, it's COOL... I never liked this before, but now I think it's an awesome song...

My mother was a classical pianist. She taught piano and music theory for years. You don't really think I managed to escape the piano lessons, do you ?

Well how about that, man... my aunt great Elva Hays used to play piano for sound tracks on silent movies. Man could she "tickle the ivory."
My uncle John used to have a "player" piano too, and the family used to sing to that stuff for hours. Throw in a new scroll and away you go. It was an honor to get to sit at the piano and pump the peddles while everyone sang... damn... the good ole days.
