How He Once Fought Under Light Of The Full Moon
Brightest full moon nights, he climbed the high ridge to shout
Darkness abated, enough light to see the path.
In waving glow, shouted curses to spit it out
Challenging demons waging his lost lover's wrath.
Had he not fled, into deepest and darkest woods
With broken sword, split shield and sad, torn heart as well.
Yet without fail, soon came shadows wearing black hoods
Bringing her dark poison arrows shot straight from hell.
O' that her heart had not itself been very black
Love could have overcame her other wicked deeds.
Those traps she set, deep pits along the hidden track
Memories of her slashing until his heart bleeds.
At a stalemate, in his battle with hooded foes
With his last ounce of courage, he bravely fought on.
As his gleaming light of defiance grows and grows
Nature hears and sees such his true character shown.
Then with last defensive punch Nature's help he sought
Rushing in to rescue him came the grey wolf pack.
With howls of victory, that Nature's friends had brought
He knelt and there prayed to get his life back on track.
