I rented it... it SUCKED... don't bother.

I am guessing after return they all suck.
Starting after 'Return of the Jedi'... I swear, they've all gone down hill, and I even bought the big expensive collection edition that includes up until these new ones... I read the reviews for this 'The Last Jedi' and they all said it sucked. So instead of going out and dishing out $30 for the 4K disc, I rented the HD movie on my cable on demand, and yeah.... it SUCKED. Star Wars is dead.
I kinda liked it - but what I didn't like: The movie was essentially based on a slow-speed chase.
“… the greatest detractor from high performance is fear: fear that you are not prepared, fear that you are in over your head, fear that you are not worthy, and ultimately, fear of failure. If you can eliminate that fear—not through arrogance or just wishing difficulties away, but through hard work and preparation—you will put yourself in an incredibly powerful position to take on the challenges you face" - Pete Carroll.
Disney owns the rights to make them now. The movies are based on books. I know George Lucas wrote the original story. Episodes I - VI. I have no idea who wrote the books.
I liked Episodes IV, II and III the best. I'll give VI a partial nod solely for Vader throwing that asshat Emperor down the shaft. Even when you could see it coming it was still one of those " bad guy" moments.

And the original Return of the Jedi, with the original Darth Vader / Anikan Skywalker, that appears in the end, not that punk Hayden Christensen. I couldn't stand him from the first time I laid eyes on him. What a snively little PUNK. It was the biggest farce of the entire movie franchise to attempt to get people to believe that whiny little punk is actually DARTH VADER.
Actually that's a pretty good description of it. It's a low intensity battle scene from start to finish, and it really follows no story line. It just jumps all around.
I think they're just milking it now for everything they can get. I think the writers must think... aaaah screw it, just make up some crap and throw in some CGI and call it good enough.
I hear there's TWO MORE coming out too...
... and...
Star Wars: Episode IX

I never thought about Hayden Christiansen one way or the other.
HOWEVER ... I WAS disappointed when they pull off Vader's mask at the end of VI. Darth Vader was played by David Prowse, a former professional bodybuilder who was over 6'. James Earl Jones did the voice. Where they dredged up the kindly-faced third dude is beyond me, but it wasn't David Prowse.
I haven't watched any of the last ones they made. It's turning into a 'Dracula movie". Mom: "Go to sleep. They killed Dracula". Me: "Then why does he always show up for another movie?"
Seriously. I saw the first Star Wars in 1977. I was 17. I was over 50 when I say the 6th one. Not sure I'll make it for another 6

Attention to detail, recruit. When noting episodes by their actual numbers, Roman numerals are used to specify. When speaking of the movies in sequential order, Arabic numerals are used.
Drop and give me 20. 4 count.
Do you realize we're a bunch of older guys talking about Star Wars movies in public?
Okay, WHO'S a Trekkie .....

One of my favorite "unofficial" Star Wars scenes....

Ouch, Me and He ---------- we watched the whole three seasons of TOS. And I had never seen Next Generation because of loyalty to Kirk and Spock, but that softened over the decades and so now we are on Season Three of Jean Luc Picard and friends. (I decided to write out three, Gunny........and avoid both Roman and Arabic numerals.
