FOR ANY POET SUCH AS THIS IS A GREAT HONOR. I AM BOTH HUMBLED AND QUITE DELIGHTED.. -Tyr
Message-
My daughter is heartbroken. Her long time boyfriend graduated last night and will soon be headed up to Stanford. He has a summer business job and then will begin class.
I suggested that she write a story or verse that would cleanse out her feelings. She was reading some of your poetry and it inspired her to write this one. She didn't give it a title, but I would call it "Inspired By Mr. Tyr."
I'm sure she wouldn't mind if you published it.
Inspired By Mr. Tyr
My love is the beach, it gives me strength
I can talk of my love for the beach at length
I pity those who can't feel the sand
Who have to reside so far inland
I love me some sun, it makes me warm
The clouds and the rain raise my alarm
I need to escape from my tether inside
I must have the sun to warm my hide
We are the beach people, the sun is our soul
We jump in our car with the beach as our goal
The radiant skies all lit up with blue
They bring us together under that hue
My troubles are many, my heart has gone flat
My tears have been flooding the place where I sat
I need a revival, my mood needs to turn
This gloom and self pity, it all has to burn
I need to find refuge, it's not very far
My rescue will come when I jump in the car
The sun has come out, to the beach we must go
It's a place where my lover will never say no
unsigned...
