Recruits? T-1 through T-73 at MCRD is scheduled down to each period of instruction, each day, to include PT. PT was usually run in series (2 platoons) or companies (4 platoons). Actual running for time and distance was done then.
"Thrashing privates" was usually done during transit time. I was never a big fan of pushups/mountain climbers/bends-n-thrusts for no reason.
So I was watching Crossfit 2018 and they were talking how they had five days of Hell to endure. I was wondering why only 5? Drill Instructor school was 9 weeks. Boot camp is 13 weeks. Guess they walk on their hands better.
