The USS Texas is rotting in Galveston Bay because someone turned it over to the Dept of Parks and recreation and they don't have enough brains to dry dock it. It's the oldest dreadnought class ship left from the 1890s. It participated in both WWs and in both theatres of WW II.
It barely survived its first refurbishing where they poured concrete to replace the rotted wooden deck. It actually got put back together correctly and they have let it just sit in the water.
Kind of crap pisses me off. What a waste of history.
