    Default Largest sports contract ever

Back in I think it was like 1992 is when they started and adopted the so called "free agency" program. Back then, which I read yesterday, someone like Reggie White signed into free agency and got a whopping contract for $17 million dollars. They say that back then the money was unheard of, very high! And that seems like it wasn't that long ago, because it wasn't!

And to put things also into perspective for an example.... Le'Veon Bell from the Steelers just held out and signed with the Jets for a $52-$60 million contract depending on performance. Antonio Brown also left the team for the Raiders and also signed a $50 million dollar contract.

Well check this one out. Great baseball player! But IMO, not even the best right now, but in the story. This is insanity money.

Let me spell that out - Four Hundred and Thirty million dollars!

I thought the NFL was crazy, but MLB wins by far over the years with their rich contracts.

Angels, Trout near new $430M deal

Star center fielder Mike Trout and the Los Angeles Angels are finalizing the largest contract in professional sports history, a 12-year deal worth more than $430 million that will smash previous records and could keep the greatest player of his generation with the Angels for the remainder of his career, sources familiar with the deal told ESPN on Tuesday.

Trout, who has won two American League MVP awards and finished second four times, will receive an average of nearly $36 million a year, topping Zack Greinke's previous record average of $34.4 million with the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Need I say more?” - Chris Rock

This is an example of why I've largely stopped supporting pro sports. That's a ridiculous amount of money for plying a game.
