I may be older than most. I may say things not everybody will like.
But despite all of that. I will never lower myself to the level of Liars, Haters, Cheats, and Hypocrites.

Looks like he's getting use out of those jammies. Note too, he thinks like his dad, "King of the remote!"

My son found a 'socially distanced' Santa for Liam:
Just found his picture from last year, what a change!

Wow! I don't think my kids got McDs until the oldest was 6!

When my kids were young we were into racing sprint cars so spent a lot of time on the road, in the pits and in the grandstands. My kids got whatever was readily available ... mostly pre-made PBJ, grandstand or drive through food. After racing we switched to team roping and hung around roping arenas with really crappy food. After that it was high school sports. Never time to sit down as a family to eat a good meal.
Thankfully, none of them ever had health issues like food allergies or gluten allergies. I am so thankful I never had to worry about the food I fed them. Plus, lots of exposure to dirt ... dirt everywhere in all the different sports. I think that really helped their immune system.

If you think I can be a bit intense now, should have known me when young and with energy.
Only restaurants were sit down or occasional Chinese or Indian. I cooked all meals, no fast food. Totally intense. I'm calm now in comparison.

Sounds like my mom. She detested the thought of American fast food, so she cooked all the meals. If you were gone from the house, she wanted to know if you ate anything. My sister came home with a fish sandwich from someplace after running in a middle school cross country meet. My mom was horrified. She only relented when we started becoming more involved in outside activities.

You and Sassy are way too industrious for me. My sister enjoyed running, but she was primarily into academics and old movies. I was also an academic who read a lot. My daughter used to complain about not getting to hang out with friends at fast food places. Now she is intensely into cooking. I rarely have to make a meal anymore. She collects recipes from everyone. Her pasta dishes, which she got from my college friend's mom in Milan, are remarkable.
Seriously, I can't see you as horrible at anything. Choices might not have been hers, but you were there which is a heck of a lot more than many parents can say today.
I don't regret spending the time with my kids, but envy that I didn't develop some of the things you did.
